If you buy your pass at a local grocery store, the pass doesn't activate until you physically go the the parks! We found premium passes @ stater brothers in Santa Ana for the pre raises price $499. Has to be activated by 12/31/12.. So no rush! - snappy

It doesn't start til you come to the park to activate it. The day you buy it isn't necessarily goona be the same day you buy it. That's how it's always been. - NotNKansasAnymor

I bought mine 3 months ago and picked it up on Monday. The CM changed the date so it's good for 365 days from Monday! Hope I helped you! - hairdog67
