You're so funny :) I wish I could afford to do that for everyone! - MrsDisneyMommy29 266.3 #863 2:43PM
Say has anyone read the fine print or called guest services about this sort of thing....... ? Hey! Dont spoil the magic! ... I didnt say anything he didš - GrumpyPirateDad

I think what he is asking is if you read the fine print really carefully.. When I bought my pass at Stater Bros, it activated by itself after 24 hours. Yes, it was only a 3-day park hopper, but still, it didn't require me doing any action apart from the cashier scanning it and me paying. - TheBudd 357.3 #397 1:28PM
also, it might have a "VOID AFTER" date, or something that says "must be activated ____ many days after purchase"... really hope it works for you tho! - TheBudd 357.3 #397 1:29PM
Oh thanks for clearing that up :) we did read the fine print and it says that it must be activated by 12/31/2012. It's good for one year after first use. We did call guest services before hand to make sure we wouldn't have to pay the difference or anything like that. Thanks for the heads up, though :) - MrsDisneyMommy29 266.3 #863 1:38PM
awesome!! now that's keepin' the magic alive right there. Have a great whole new year of fun at the old price!! - TheBudd 357.3 #397 1:42PM
Thank you! We're activating them on our sons first birthday so it will be super special :) - MrsDisneyMommy29 266.3 #863 1:44PM
So I assume you got them for the old $499 price? - Oinker34

Awesome! Congrats on another year of Magic!! - Oinker34 867.7 #105 4:09PM
Drove to the CarlsbadĀ Disney store yesterday to purchase mine. Saved myself $150 thanks to MrsStrawberryguy or whatever your new name is for today. Yesterday was the lastĀ time to purchase the old AP vouchersĀ from any Disney store. The new AP vouchers hit the shelves today. - vincentchase

Yeah we searched several different stores near us before we found ours. Everywhere else either had the new ones or didn't have any on the display. - MrsDisneyMommy29 266.3 #863 2:37PM
Btw, I live in Riverside for anyone in my area wanting to get these. They're at the Stater Bros off of La Sierra and the 91 fwy :) - MrsDisneyMommy29

Also a bunch of all 4 AP types at the Ralphs in San Marcos :-) - PrincessDuckie 588.4 #188 4:20PM
@duckie - you and I shop at the same Ralphs :) I was wondering if you start over again as a "new passholder" status and have to take a new picture, etc. if you purchase these? Anyone know? - Alicewhoareyou 536.3 #210 4:25PM
To clarify, my current Premium pass doesn't expire until October 2nd, so we'd be activating them then. - Alicewhoareyou 536.3 #210 4:27PM
Suebayou, I live in menifee, we are practically neighbors! :) - kaleighmungo 189.9 #1751 4:34PM
Alice- I think since these aren't the actual passes, you'll still need to take them to a ticket booth before you can use them. They should be able to link these to your current account, so you'll keep the same picture and everything. I didn't use this when I renewed mine, but I renewed a few months after my old one expired, and they were able to keep the same info. - brit-brit 298.3 #618 4:37PM
Good to know, thank you! - Alicewhoareyou 536.3 #210 4:40PM
Yeah she's right. I haven't had to take a new picture in years because we always renew so soon. - LaneSparrow316 846.9 #108 4:41PM
Do you know if you will retain your old expiration date as well, even if you redeem them at a later time? I know the first activation is considered day 1 of your annual pass, but if you don't use it until a couple of weeks after your old pass has expired, I wonder if you have a new expiration date while keeping your same profile info. - Alicewhoareyou 536.3 #210 4:44PM
You get the new expiration date. The only way you'd get the old expiration date if you renew after your old ones expire is if you want the $20 discount, which won't apply here. - brit-brit 298.3 #618 4:46PM
I bought a pass through my credit union last year and was able to use it to renew my pass.Ā The passes that are bought at the Disney Stores are not activated until they are presented at a ticket booth.Ā I have read on another site that Disney can charge the new price for any pass bought after the rate increase.Ā I don't know if they will or not.Ā Please keep us posted as if they charge the new price for passes bought after May 12th and were activated at a non-Disney location.Ā I was at a Ralphs store today and they had the new passes at the new prices.Ā - sr citizen space ranger
