I'm so excited I can't sleep! Leaving for Disneyland in 15 hours! I told my kids we are visiting family in San Diego. Any ideas how and when I should tell the kids the truth?

We did that. Just showed up and even when we got there she didn't know. We stayed at the GCH so she didn't recognize it. The bell boy had to tell her while he was unloading our luggage. She was 4 - katiesarahmommy

We did this with my son last year and it kinda back fired on us, my son is the type that likes to know what's going on and has a lil bit of nervous personality so it was very overwhelming for him. - dadcanevari

We surprised our kids one time. We took a taxi from the airport (told driver what was up) to hotel. As we drove by the parks they figure out where we were, and we got it all on video! A memory they love to watch. It still tears me up every time! - Roto
