Here's a cool picture of the info I posted last night.
I am so incredibly bummed they increased the height restriction so much!! My daughter first rode this January of last year when she hit the 36" mark...she just hit 40" and has been asking every visit if the Yeti was still taking a bath and if the Matterhorn is open again. She is going to be devastated when it reopens and shes no longer tall enough... :/ - ktkakes

I am sad about it too, because my daughter turned 2 in March and is 36", but it really is for the best. Before I would've been able to hold onto her, but now, with the single seats, I wouldn't want her to sit alone. I'm sad she won't be able to ride, but safety is Disney's number 1 priority, and it will be worth the wait. - CMJenKWorth 122.9 #2679 9:43PM
The height restrictions are for safety reasons. It's not safe to fake the height to get her on it. Once she reaches the height she will have plenty of time to ho on the ride for the rest of her life. Just saying ... Safety first! - bearlove 6.0 #9046 9:45PM

Don't get me wrong everyone I'm not complaining about the safety aspect...I completely understand that...but explaining that to my 3 1/2 year old who has been anticipating riding it again is a whole other story. I definitely was nervous thinking about her sitting by herself since every ride (even those she's tall enough for) I still hold onto her tightly...so I do understand because they will be sitting alone now.
