So spencer and I have decided that within the next 6 months we will be moving out of San Diego county. So we want to know your opinions of the cities you love and why. We are looking to stay in southern Cali just not SD. We have our sights on Anaheim. Corona. Morena valley. And a few other places. But we would love pros and cons of places you love and despise. It will help us out a lot. Thank you so much in advance!
okay, you can't mention Anaheim and Moreno Valley in the same sentence. It's like the difference between apples and dog poop. - TheBudd

Lol. Spencer uncle and aunt live in mo Val. Only reason we would move there! But that is looking to be a no go because we need to be close to places that has Spencer's company. Spencer's company is in dland hotel!! But I hear that's not the funnest place to work for his company. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 7:16PM
All I can say is my wife was buggin' and buggin' me to move to MoVal because prices were CHEAP, and yes, the houses are beautiful. But it wasn't close enough to work for me. How did I settle it? Scheduled with our agent to see a house at night, and made sure we would have to fill up our gas before leaving at the local station... that changed her mind. LOL - TheBudd 357.3 #406 7:19PM
Nice! Well I'm thinking more of Anaheim because 1) work location 2) weather is similar to San Diego. No 110 summers and 20 winters. 3) most important DISNEYLAND!! - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 7:22PM
@TheBudd Wait a minute! I live in Mo Val (on the North side of the freeway) Thank you, very much! Is this comment about dog poo coming from someone who lives in the High Desert? :)~ - LizO™ 470.0 #262 7:36PM
I live in Moreno Valley, so that makes it 10x's better! - LizO™ 470.0 #262 7:37PM
LOL lizo! Indeed it is, but I live in the SOUTH high desert. The tweakers live further in :P MoVal aint ALL bad, just 90%... hehe jk - TheBudd 357.3 #406 8:39PM
HaHa! That is funny we mention North side and South side. I guess each city has there bad parts. I grew up in San Bernardino, thank goodness I grew up on the "North side". ;) - LizO™ 470.0 #262 9:18PM
Me too! Only the made me goto Pacific High! What school did you attend? I wanted to goto San Gorgonio High... - TheBudd 357.3 #406 9:29PM
Don't MOVE HERE WHAT EVER YOU DO!!! It's miserable and HoT and we don't have stores or Gas stations and we have a town drunk named Dirty Dave who harasses everyone for Rides and money. I say look NORTH! - Mrsblue

I live in Corona. The area I'm in is pretty nice and a lot of houses for sale here at good prices. Search in zip code 92883. Yea... downtime is it takes a while to get to places and it gets hot. Hottest has been about 101 or so. Oh and it takes me about 40 mins to get to Disneyland.
Good luck on your search :) - SleepyTortuga

Thanks. That's one of our choices. I have friends in corona. I know the heat is dry there. Not humid like SD. And 40 min is better than 2 hours lol. I just need public transportation so I can get to stores and drs. How is that there? - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 7:32PM
Ah, that's one thing I don't see much in this neighborhood. I'm in very south corona. I think public transportation is good in central corona. But I'm not 100% sure. - SleepyTortuga 287.2 #699 8:31PM
Thanks so much for your input! I like corona. I'm gonna have my friends show us around some time soon. Want to pick the right place for me and spencer. I have lived in San Diego my whole life so I am ready for a change. So is spencer. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 8:57PM
There is also Rancho Cucamunga (cheaper but still nice), NORTH Fontana (I emphasize NORTH because anywhere else and you've stepped into another dimension), Chino (if you can handle the farm fresh smell of cow poo).. all these will have you about 45 minutes to an hour from the Parks. - TheBudd

and NorCo (North Corona) which is also full of farm fresh smells but the houses are pretty nice as is the area in general. - TheBudd 357.3 #406 7:33PM
I used to live in farm area. Don't think the smell will ever really bother me. Thanks! Norco was also one of the places were looking into. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 8:34PM
I was born and raised in Long Beach and I still live here. I love that it's a large, beach city and the weather is great. Theres a lot to do, too. There are definitely parts of the city you don't want to live in but if you can live in Belmont Heights or anywhere on the East side near the University, I would reccomend! DM me if you decide to look in the area and have any questions. - LaneSparrow316

I have missed San Diego every day for 16 years!!! Think hard before leaving!! - SueBayou
2012.0 #35 9:02PM
Trust me. We have been talking and thinking about it fornyhenlast 6 months. Recent things have happened that is confirming our decision. I can't leave Cali because I did once before and promised myself that I never would again. However San Diego is not our city anymore. Too many things that hold us back here now. We need to leave. My family is all leaving. My sis just moved to north Carolina and my parents will soon follow. So I can't do San Diego with them all gone. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 9:12PM
But we really want to go no farther than 2 hours from San Diego because Spencer's family is still here. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 9:14PM
Check out Temecula. It's no more than an hour from anything. Clean. Low crime. - SueBayou 2012.0 #35 9:51PM
Thanks sue I will! - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 10:10PM
Long beach, Paramount, Downey, La mirada are nice places. Still really close to DL - MarshaMouse

Ohhh Whittier is really nice, secluded from Fwys but has everything you need - MarshaMouse 2935.6 #16 9:48PM
Thank you so much! We had no idea where to look. Now we have anot more cities to look into. - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.5 #171 10:11PM
