Say What???!!!!! I just called to book a Fantasmic Desert and I was told they would call me back, and it's 60 bucks per adult and 50 bucks per child?! Is this really worth it?!

What if you took an hour before your "get seats for Fantasmic" planned time and gather desserts through the park on your way to ROA?  Some popcorn, a couple of packages of freshly-made chocolate candies, maybe some ice cream or dole whips, fresh pineapple spears, a couple of orders of beignets, etc.  Get enough for everyone to sample some of each.  You could create your own "A Taste of Disneyland" viewing party, which would probably create better memories than a bunch of prepackaged pastries.  Have fun with it! - susieQzee  480.9 #247 1:44PM
Now THAT is a fantastic idea :) - DisneyDawn  415.6 #310 2:06PM
For everyone we are taking it would cost us 395!!! Maybe if it was just my husband and I, but 400 smackers for desert.....man....I really want to do it, but I think I will wait til it is just 2 of us. Thanks everyone! - Princessnicci  27.0 #4526 11:53AM
No. It's not worth that! But if you go alone with your husband you should do it. - SueBayou  2012.0 #34 12:15PM
My boyfriend and I considered it but decided against it due to the price. To be honest we were able to get to the fantasmic area just after the first show had ended and were able to secure a spot dead center in the front! We brought cookies and other snacks and enjoyed ourselves that way :) Maybe try the WOC one? I believe it's only $15 a person and you get a little dinner and a spot! Might be a little more cost efficient for a big group! - ashmonster  31.7 #4303 1:31PM
You get a fp for woc. The same type you could get by going to the fp machines in the morning. 😉 - bluefairy  627.4 #174 5:22PM
We've done it when it was just my husband and I. It's kind of a special romantic thing to do. It's nice you get a box with cheese, crackers, grapes, truffles, mini cheesecake, and several cookies plus unlimited beverages. It's folding chairs, and the servers are wonderful! - FaithTrustPixiedust  22.7 #4844 1:47PM
You are not paying for 'dessert'. You are paying for a reserved premium viewing spot with a chair, that just happens to come with a lovely tray of cheese, crackers, and sweets as well as unlimited drinks. Would I pay that much for the tray of snacks? No. Would I pay that much for reserved seating? Maybe, especially if my time was limited and I didn't want to save a seat an hour it two ahead of time. Would I do it for my family of 5? Rarely, it's expensive. But I would be more likely to just purchase it for my husband and myself. I'm sure it was a price shock if you did not know in advance. - PrincessKristin  776.6 #124 4:28PM
Ya, I like SuzieQ's idea. If it were just the 2 of us, I would so do it. Just not for all 7! Thanks everyone! So where are the best spots to sit? - Princessnicci  27.0 #4526 7:15PM
It's a really great experience and they make you feel like a true vip. If you're going when it's crowded and you've got the cash I would definitely recommend it. - mastamatt  13.9 #5862 10:46AM
I honestly think so if you can afford it do it have 3 or 4 times with my bf every time we have so much fun you forget the price - cmdlgurl  255.5 #954 10:48AM
If you can afford it then yes if not then go to gibson girl get ice cream and then sit and enjoy! - PrinceTeaJack  786.3 #120 10:51AM
We have done it twice and it is a really wonderful experience. If you can afford it I say ot's worth it! - mrssumr  64.1 #3519 11:09AM
Do you have to still show up crazy early in order to see the show? I was looking at it online and it actually states you have no guarantee of a seat. - Lelundrial  341.5 #429 11:21AM
It's best to show up at 8 or 9 to check in and reserve your spot then go ahead and leave until like 20 minutes until show time - cmdlgurl  255.5 #954 5:31PM
We love it! It's usually several desserts, cheese and crackers and bottomless drinks. U still have to show up early to check in and claim your seat that night, which I wish they would change that part of it. - GrandCalifornianGirl  3.6 #16052 12:01PM
Yeah if I am forking over money I want a guarantee. - Lelundrial  341.5 #429 3:53PM
You are guaranteed a seat, but just not a certain seat, which is why people line up early to check in. - PrincessKristin  776.6 #124 4:31PM
Yes it is! I just made reservations for our trip, It's a must everytime, truly an enjoyable experience! - madsdad  1130.7 #72 12:13PM
It is an awesome experience to enjoy with friends who have become Family, right Nick!!! - disneysgirl76  223.8 #1311 4:20PM
No its not worth it. - Dsnygrl64  153.3 #2249 12:19PM
I remember when my parents did it with us like four or five years ago. Does it still have alcoholic chocolates? - jonagurcia  264.6 #877 3:34PM
