Hey guys, quick question;
So my girlfriend and I are trying to take a trip down to Disneyland in mid September. If we do, I want to take her to a nice dinner. My question is; is the Blue Bayou worth the price? I've heard reviews from "it's some of the best food I've ever tried" to "you pay for the view, and....well the upgrades to the ride look nice huh?" I know with a place like that, the view/atmosphere is half of it, but how is the food? Thanks in advance for the advice MW fam!
The view makes it all worth it... I like the food, it's not like the most amazing thing I've ever had, yet they have never overcooked the chicken, steak, or lobster I've had their and their crab cakes are pretty good. but the ambience of the place... that's amazing. - madsdad

It's the same quality food you get anywhere. In fact, Cafe Orleans has some of the same dishes. I'd recommend it for the atmosphere but if you want a really good meal, Wine Country Trattoria at DCA Is far better quality wise. - AlishaSkellington

You totally pay for the ambience, which is amazing...but only you can decide if it's worth the price. I don't eat red meat so the choices are very limited (I always just get crab cakes, which are so-so). Last year we had a dining credit from our package at the Grand, so it was cool. Without the credit, I think we'll pass and go to Napa Rose. - msdizmaui

Luckily she loves red meat as much as I do, so hopefully that won't be a problem. Napa Rose we tried last time (we loved it) I was considering there again, but wanted to try someplace new. It's my fall back plan though. - MrLeeFromDisney 259.4 #915 11:34PM
