SUPER EXCITED ... 1st time back to DL in 10 yrs. Never been to DCA. The plan is big kids first day at DL. 2nd day DCA with baby and Grandma. 3rd day back to DL with everyone. Any recommendations? Also, can we take some of our own snacks?
Of course you can! Bringing your own snacks saves you money and keeps your hunger down while in line I suggest you do an adult dinner at Blue Bayou because it is an amazing experience although a bit expensive and for the whole family I suggest Pizza Port delicious pasta!!! - Disneyrockstar

Hi and welcome! You can bring snacks. My only suggestion is to see as many shows/parades as possible. Fantasmic, fireworks and soundsational parade in DL & world of color in DCA. Everyone will enjoy these. - VeloMouseGirl

Snacks are a must!! How old is "baby"? Bugsland for the little set is not to be missed! Also, go to see Disney Junior and Crush - GoofyMom77

Baby is only 8 mo. Too little to really enjoy it all. Others are 7-13, all boys. Lookinf forward to the new CARS land. :) - LilMom 5.8 #9280 7:27PM
You can bring snacks, drinks, and stuff like sandwiches. We put a pb&j in each person's day bag (or more than one if they are a huge eater), plus their water (or soda) bottle, and little things like granola bars, almonds, fruit, etc. Our goal was to spend as little as possible on food and drinks for the first day and then try again on the second day. We really only paid for dinners (and a dole whip and churro) the first two days of our visit last week. - jmgphx

This our plan for this trip, one "meal" in the parks with the occassional churro/dole whip/popcorn/pretzel thrown in. The rest is snacks and meals back at our hotel or picniced into the park. - GoofyMom77 108.7 #2919 9:13AM
Don't miss Soarin. Take your time. There's no reason to rush through the park. We try to find one thing each trip that we haven't seen before. - LovePiglet76

Soarin' and Screamin' are definately a must at DCA. We bring in our snacks and lunches all the time so that we can spend more on a nice dinner. The only thing I have been told by a CM is that the sandwiches have to be made already. We once brought stuff to make the sandwiches so that they would be fresher, and we had to stand outside of the gate making them real fast before they would let us in. This was about 2 years ago. - Photogirl7

I see people making sandwiches out by the bag check area all the time! Now I know why! :) - LoveDland 300.7 #608 10:16PM
Lol, you could go to the picnic area. So in the future, I would preassemble the sandwiches with the meat and cheese only. Wrap in waxed paper, this is the best option for preventing sogginess. Pack the condiments and veggies to add later. - bluefairy 627.1 #174 1:56AM
