Ok guys need help ! I'm torn ! Ok soo for my birthday I wanted to either have a party at my house (friends n family-nothing too crazy) or go to a bar with friends and family! But here's the problem- if I have a party it will be an expense (food, cake, drinks, the other kind of drinks ;], plates...etc.) and I don't want my parents to make that kind of expense because we can utilize that money for the car problems or bills. But if we go to a bar I feel it won't be as personal no cake, no fun decor, my brother can't come (not of age) and a couple of family friends can't come(age) .. So my question is what do you guys think, throw some ideas at me!

Make it a pot luck kind of deal! Ask your friends and family to being a dish they like, or soda to the party. Everyone contributes to it. :) - TiffyMarie  301.2 #605 1:11AM

You can do a party at home for very little money. You don't have to buy disposable cups/plates/etc., but if you feel like they are necessary, go to the dollar store. You can make your own birthday cake and/or cupcakes for less than $5. When we have a house full of teens, we often do inexpensive meals (that's the only way I can afford to feed them all). You can buy a huge bag of meatballs and a jar or two of spaghetti sauce for about $10. Throw them in a crockpot and buy some inexpensive hoagie/sub rolls. I've never had complaints about serving meatball subs. Basically, you can do a nice home party for under $50, easily, including a dinner, snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks. (If you want alcohol, think about asking your friends to bring the fixings for their fave drinks.) The bottom line, though, is to have fun no matter whatย you decide to do. ย :)ย  - jmgphx  322.7 #511 9:17AM
Go Dutch at a restaurant where all ages are welcome and there are adult beverages and then provide dessert! Bonus points if the place has a private room you can get for free with a certain number of people and decorate! - cynDOLEwhip  744.1 #137 1:23AM
Whatever you decide we'll be there ๐Ÿ˜Š I'd be happy to bring a dish or provide whatever you need ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ‰ - Disneymomblessedx3  317.8 #532 8:54AM
