35 years ago today Star Wars was released in theaters! What's your favorite Star Wars memory?

35 years ago. It was the year I was born so my cousin who is a big Star Wars nerd lol always refers to me as "a Star Wars Baby". - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 7:34AM
A Star Wars Baby! That's awesome! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 7:45AM
I know she is such a dork! She was literally jealous of my birth year.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - Mrsblue  693.1 #285 8:08AM
That's hilarious! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 8:59AM
Watching the re-release of the original Star Wars movies in the theater with my dad. The original release happened before I was born. - Donaldfan_532  247.3 #1390 7:11AM
This ^ except I went with my grandma. I remember seeing it when I was 10 or 11 and I loved the romance between Han and Leia in TESB :) Truly was a magical experience seeing it in the theater as a kid - Aquata  292.3 #961 7:23AM
What a great way to experience it! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 7:43AM
I think it was 35 years ago. That my fatherinlaw took our older daughter to see it 3 times on opening day. - Tealtownfan  1015.6 #184 7:23AM
I edited it, thanks! My fat thumbs apparently don't get along well with my iPhone! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 7:44AM
Seeing Empire when it first came out. I remember waiting outside in a line to get in. The theater doesn't even exist anymore. We were front row, and surprise Wampa. Yeah, I am still shocked I didn't have nightmares from that. That is most likely because that is also when I met Yoda. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 7:27AM
I bet you had a neck ache after! What a great memory! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 7:44AM
I remember my mother not wanting to sit in the front row for a movie every again. I think it was more the Wampa then anything. I recall her jumping out of her seat. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 7:47AM
Wow. 35 years! I was 11 and my dad took me to stand in the long line at the Cinerama theatre in Honolulu. It doesn't exist any more either. I don't think I ever stood in line for a movie before. - mojohito  241.6 #1458 7:41AM
I hatched in that city. To young to go. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 7:43AM
I love the footage of the premier night from different theaters, all of that anticipation. - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 7:46AM
Back in the eighties my stepfather was an executive at Fox Studios. They had a kids day at the studio including screening of the original trilogy in the theatre. I stayed and watched all three in a row. - ScooterMike  1963.0 #83 7:42AM
That is dedication! I recently watched them all back to back but spread out over a week - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 7:47AM
I won a radio station promo. I got a StarWars poster and a SW comic book😊 - E-Ticket  1466.8 #115 7:47AM

I was 9 when it was released and the hoopla was pretty intense. It seemed every boy I knew was acting out scenes everywhere I went. I didnt see it until it was rereleased in the theaters. - PrincessDuckie  905.1 #202 8:18AM
I've seen every Star Wars film in the theater, including this first release (Episode IV). - IMissDisney  1205.7 #144 8:21AM
Seeing it 20 times in the movie theaters when it was released. My Mom seen it about 10 times with me and the rest were with whoever I could get to go. - Evilstitch  338.5 #709 8:23AM
I was ten when it came out. Remember seeing it. Then, because my Dad loved it so much, seeing it AGAIN the next day. - Experiment818  1647.2 #101 8:51AM
Waiting in line for the opening weekend with a bunch of friends. It was the first movie I ever waited in a line to see a movie. It was unheard of at the time and it was worth every minute we waited. - VeloMouseGirl  549.8 #371 8:54AM
The first Star Wars movie I ever saw was Episode I.  I was 8 and I saw it with my mom, brother, and uncle.  I still remember the theater we saw it in too. That was a fun day.  I didn't understand the movie at the time, but I had fun being with my fam. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 8:58AM
