35 years ago today Star Wars was released in theaters! What's your favorite Star Wars memory?
35 years ago. It was the year I was born so my cousin who is a big Star Wars nerd lol always refers to me as "a Star Wars Baby". - Mrsblue

This ^ except I went with my grandma. I remember seeing it when I was 10 or 11 and I loved the romance between Han and Leia in TESB :)
Truly was a magical experience seeing it in the theater as a kid - Aquata 292.2 #676 7:23AM

I think it was 35 years ago. That my fatherinlaw took our older daughter to see it 3 times on opening day. - Tealtownfan

I edited it, thanks! My fat thumbs apparently don't get along well with my iPhone! - LisaMouse7531 409.4 #325 7:44AM
Seeing Empire when it first came out. I remember waiting outside in a line to get in. The theater doesn't even exist anymore. We were front row, and surprise Wampa. Yeah, I am still shocked I didn't have nightmares from that. That is most likely because that is also when I met Yoda. - Lelundrial

I bet you had a neck ache after! What a great memory! - LisaMouse7531 409.4 #325 7:44AM
I remember my mother not wanting to sit in the front row for a movie every again. I think it was more the Wampa then anything. I recall her jumping out of her seat. - Lelundrial 344.9 #437 7:47AM
Wow. 35 years! I was 11 and my dad took me to stand in the long line at the Cinerama theatre in Honolulu. It doesn't exist any more either. I don't think I ever stood in line for a movie before. - mojohito

Back in the eighties my stepfather was an executive at Fox Studios. They had a kids day at the studio including screening of the original trilogy in the theatre. I stayed and watched all three in a row. - ScooterMike

Waiting in line for the opening weekend with a bunch of friends. It was the first movie I ever waited in a line to see a movie. It was unheard of at the time and it was worth every minute we waited. - VeloMouseGirl

The first Star Wars movie I ever saw was Episode I. I was 8 and I saw it with my mom, brother, and uncle. I still remember the theater we saw it in too. That was a fun day. I didn't understand the movie at the time, but I had fun being with my fam. - MagicalCaprice
