Does anyone know what is the best way to see world of color?? I saw for the first time last year but was standing off to the side and couldnt see. Is the meal with reserved spot worth it?? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks:)

I am going to have to say yes the WOC dinner is worth it. The food is great and then you get tickets for front and center. Bring a jacket because the best part in that area is down low but you will get wet a little. You want to be able to see the water top because it looks super coolr to and laser effects are down there. I had the dinner and WOC this last week and we stood a little further back but we could not see over the heads of people to the water. Sorry rambling hope that helps - BooEve123  800.6 #117 11:02AM
agree with boo, i think it was worth it, so much more relaxed, good food, good "seats." you do still need to return maybe 30 min before if you want to be right up front. - Pixarprincess  531.4 #215 11:17AM
Picnic vs dinner same reserved spot?? - julia4disney  3.4 #17774 11:04AM
I am sorry I am not sure if it the same spot or not. Does anyone know? I have only done the sit down restaurants - BooEve123  800.6 #117 11:06AM
no, picnic will get to FP's the same as the machines. the reseved spots are for the dinners at WCT and Ariels (ending mid june) and soon to be Cathway - GoofyMom77  108.9 #2925 11:06AM
picnic is not the same as sit down, picnic fp's are not all in the same section, and the food was so so. i wouldnt recommend this rout - Pixarprincess  531.4 #215 11:15AM
We liked it too.  We did Ariels.  We did it to avoid queing up for a FP and then have to que up way early for good spots for the show. (this was November 2010).  We're doing Ariels again for our upcoming June trip - GoofyMom77  108.9 #2925 11:05AM
I prefer the wet zone up front and center. The earlier you get in line the better chance you have of getting a spot without someone in front of you. The passes with dinning aren't reserved seating, you get the same FP as you would if you got a FP earlier (yellow section I believe). So no real benefit unless you know you won't be able to get a FP ticket. - NikkiMickey  1588.6 #49 11:05AM
Is this a recent thing? Having done the preferred seating before I know that it's a center section for those with the prefered seating passes. Unless of course this is no longer the case. - GoofyMom77  108.9 #2925 11:19AM
Best section I had been in is blue section towards the back. It was the VIP section but there are areas around it that have the same view. - JediStitch  429.7 #291 11:13AM
I was in upper blue section right behind the handicap area and I had a great view too. - Twitterpated  230.9 #1231 12:38PM
I like blue section bridge or splash zone for the best view. Get there early to get a spot. - chris.  2507.3 #24 11:18AM
Dinner it is!! Thanks everyone!! - julia4disney  3.4 #17774 11:20AM
Heads up I called for the dining package for our trip next month and was advised that the front center section that was previously given for packages at Ariel's Grotto and Wine Country Trattoria has been moved to back center. Only reservations at the new Carthay Theater Restaurant will be front center. This is for all dining bookings after June 15th( opening of the new restaurant) - Keala76  293.1 #655 11:47AM
I thought I read that Ariel's Grotto was going to stop the WOC tix altogether. - Lelundrial  341.4 #429 11:50AM
Ariel's did stop the dinner plan. I was trying to explain the location of the reserved seating that was included with their package :) - Keala76  293.1 #655 12:04PM
Thanks for the info on the new Carthay Theater restaurant. Do you you happen to know what the price range is? - julia4disney  3.4 #17774 12:28PM
I have no idea, it's not open yet and there isn't a listing for it on Disney's website yet. Kinda odd cause they have Flos up. - GoofyMom77  108.9 #2925 12:39PM
I was told that each person has to order 2 items ( app and entree or entree and desert) for the dining package. Appetizers range from $9-20 Entrees range from $19-41 Desserts range from $8-12 Children also have to order 2 items Dinner $8-16 Dessert $4-5 - Keala76  293.1 #655 12:46PM
