Had anyone ever tried the big thunder ranch barbecue? Me and my husband wanted to go eat there on Tuesday, but I wanted to get a few opinions first. Is it worth the price? And would you prefer storytellers over the BBQ?

I think it is, the ribs and chicken are always good, and the side dishes are good too. We always do it as a late lunch and we never eat dinner when we do that, just get a snack at the end of the night. - madsdad  1122.8 #73 6:09PM
Agreed. You will absolutely be full for the rest of the evening, if you go for lunch. - DisneyFanZoe  1092.0 #77 6:48PM
This is what we do too. It's very good and definetly don't need dinner! - MicheyMouse  264.6 #872 8:25PM
I haven't tried it yet but I always hear great things about it. I want to go but we are usually going on so many rides and running all day that the all you can eat thing seems too heavy. We usually split a few meals throughout the day. Let us know how you like it! You can also search the name of any place you would like a review of and chances are other MWers have posted something about it! - LisaMouse7531  408.9 #316 6:43PM
I want so much to like the BBQ place more than I do. We have been about 3 times, and for the price the food has not been that great. And you have to pay more for dessert, which is the best part of the meal. I loooove storytellers!! The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! 😊 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  2525.5 #23 6:59PM
Very yummy! The atmosphere is relaxing and everyone is having good ole time. We enjoyed drinking from mason jars and listening to music. We ate dinner because we wanted the corn cobs and sausage that's not offered at lunch. I've only had Storytellers for breakfast- so it's hard for me to compare because they are so different. But if I could only choose one... BBQ! - MrsRumm  216.4 #1395 7:04PM
It's pretty nice! We like going there when it's hot cause it's shady and they'll bring you a ton of cold diet coke! The foods good. Storytellers is great for dinner, get the corn chowder! Either way don't do both on the same day cause they'll have to roll you out of the park!:) - Footguy  8.2 #7471 8:21PM
It's my kids' favorite place to eat so far!  The food is good and all you can eat.  Very good deal! We also got a dessert there, the chocolate chip cookie bake with ice cream and hot fudge. sooooo good!!! - GoofyMom77  108.5 #2920 6:13PM
I've yet to ever be able to try that since I fill up on all the other food, but mads always tries skimping on the food so she have extra room for dessert lol - madsdad  1122.8 #73 6:14PM
My Bf always eats there... The all You can eat Buffett I would say is worth if IF you eat a lot. I have never heard a complaint come from the BBQ place! - Ohana  197.6 #1657 6:16PM
The food is good, but I've never eaten at Storytellers. So I can't compare. But if u like all u can eat, then BTR bar b que is the way to go! Whichever u decide to choose, I hope u enjoy it! - dsnylvr22  24.4 #4691 6:19PM
We eat there every time we go. Go when you are really hungry. - Michelle1445  200.2 #1626 6:35PM
Their food is super tasty. Try the peach cobbler it's fantastic! - fairestsnowwhite  160.3 #2152 6:51PM
We liked it and will be there this Saturday - CantWait  1033.2 #84 6:59PM
I'd like to try it but the cost, especially considering it doesn't include dessert, always holds me back... Maybe one day... - cynDOLEwhip  744.1 #137 7:05PM
P.S. I absolutely love the character breakfast at storytellers. Since I haven't been to BBQ I can't compare and it might be hard anyway, considering how different they are... Will you have children with you? - cynDOLEwhip  744.1 #137 7:08PM
We like to go just for dessert. It is only about twelve dollars for a family size which feeds five of us. You can watch the program and enjoy the atmosphere. We have never tried the dinner, although it looks good. - Pudgeman  367.5 #377 7:13PM
Good idea! I'll keep that in mind next time I get a sweet tooth! That's a great price too! - cynDOLEwhip  744.1 #137 7:16PM
OH they do just a dessert? We skip it because there is always just two of use and we can't eat that much food. We might be able to tackle a dessert though. - Lelundrial  339.6 #430 7:17PM
I didn't know you could go to the BBQ place just for dessert! That's a very good tip to know! 😊👍 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  2525.5 #23 7:18PM
Love the corn; can't compare it to storytellers, haven't been there in a while. - Goofy4Art  203.8 #1575 7:21PM
If you have never eaten there its worth the stop - Churoplease  4.9 #10588 7:37PM
We used to only go there for dinner when we visited on a regular basis back in the early 90's. Don't know what has changed but we loved it back then - Disneylanddad702  401.7 #328 7:54PM
I love it! Great atmosphere, food and service!!! Definately give it a try! - Mermaidmommy  32.8 #4246 8:16PM
