I just wanted to wish every Mom on here a very happy mother’s day. I unfortunately lost my Mother rather unexpectedly a few years ago. I just wanted to share a few things about her with you all. My Mother was one of the core inspirations for my love of Disney. The stories she would share with me about her experiences with Disneyland were priceless. Her telling me about being one of the children that ran thru the castle opening day. Seeing Walt walk down Main Street. Her and my Dad braving the crowds when I was a baby when the park celebrated Donald Duck’s birthday. One of my favorite stories she told me was when she and her friends during grad night in the 60’s poured soap in the fountain (some know of this prank from “Mouse Tails”). And how the suds spread thru out the plumbing and into the rivers.(Needless to say, I didn’t mention this story when I first interviewed to work for Disney ;) heheh). She was the person who suggested I go and apply to work for Disney. And pushed me to keep trying when they turned me down the first two times. With all that being said, without her influence I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I love you Mom, and I miss you.
