So it's official that my gf and I will be going to DL from 5/24-5/25!! I'm excited and sad at the same time because this will be my last visit to DL :( I will be starting a new adventure in my life of attending Veterinary School at Purdue University. After a lot of grief about saving money for school, my gf was the most supportive person by looking up discount tickets thru her work and also asking her sister who lives 5min from DL to save on hotels!! So this will be a very memorable trip and being able to see couple of MWers would definitely make it better! My gf thinks it's so cute that a guy like me gets excited about Dl, that she can't wait for the trip as well :) The only thing that bummed me out that during our visit, it will be the revised grad night. I am hoping that the crowds will not be bad and be able to enjoy the rides. At least I hope I can enjoy it with my gf and with good company! Who else will be there at the park during those days!?
I won't be there, but I wanted to say that I think it's great that you get one last hurrah in DL before your new adventure begins. Good luck with everything! - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Congratulations on Purdue! And don't think of it as your last trip, it's just going to be a while before you'll get a "homecoming". =) check the refurbishment schedule to know what will be closed so you won't set your heart on doing something and then be disappointed, but at the same time pick a ride or restaurant that is a must do with your gf and then you'll feel satisfied you did your major thing even if it's crowded and there are some things you had to miss. And get an "I'm Celebrating" button from City Hall, since that's exactly what you're doing! - mandigutterrose
