So, say you have a hungry toddler who's going to melt down soon if you don't get a real meal into her. Do you find counter service or preferred seating at table service faster? I know counter service is almost instant food, but do the lines tend to be a lot longer for counter service? Thanks for any helpful input!
I'm really not sure, but if you are hesitating or dithering, just get her a churro or pretzel while you decide, lol. That's what my husband does for me when he spots a meltdown coming! 😂 - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Haha-that was going to be my suggestion also. Nothing beats a mm pretzels when your in a bind! Always bring little bags of grapes and cheese sticks to go along with it and crisis averted - JNewie 226.4 #1288 8:54PM
LOL mine gets me watermelon or icecream! - Boundin 425.0 #299 8:57PM
Lol, coffee is the number one option, but I wasn't gonna suggest it for a kiddo😂 I usually keep a Luna bar in my purse, but sometimes, I forget. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.2 #285 9:00PM
Omg SOS your husband sounds just like my bf lol! He see my meltdown coming from a mile away!! Usually even before I do!! I'm like a toddler with over stimulationand hunger!! 😄 I knew I liked you!! 😉 - CourtyAstroBlisters 440.1 #282 9:34PM
Lol! Yeah, we have good men in our lives. 😃 Sometimes, I'm like, "No, I'm fine." And he says, "trust me, you won't be if you don't sit and eat before you get grouchy!" He's always right. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.2 #285 9:37PM
LMBO this is just like him!! But he says "on no it's definetly time to feed the CourtyMonster!!" makes me smile everytime then I eat and relax and feel much better!! Yup he is the best! We are lucky ladies!! 😃 - CourtyAstroBlisters 440.1 #282 9:46PM
It depends on the time of day and what part of the park you're in. If I needed to get something to eat quickly I often will walk for a bit to find a quick service location with short lines. Based on my experiences the quick service in Toontown, the one at the Princess Fantasy Faire (across from It's a Small World) and the Stagedoor Cafe at the Golden Horseshoe are usually pretty fast. Pizza Port can also be quick but if they don't have enough cashiers it takes forever to pay. We don't eat at DCA enough for me to give any useful info. - BlueberryCrusader

I always pack a snack just in case. I have not had any problems with the lines not being fast enough. There is always Disneyland popcorn if you need something quick. - ScooterMike

Snacks from home in between real meals to prevent any problems. My son always seems to fall asleep when sit down to eat especially if we walk a distance or have to wait. The snacks tide him over to his next real meal. - Minnique

Thanks everyone. I know we'll have snacks for her, but the meal thing is feeling like it'll be a challenge because she can be such a bottomless pit some days. Throw in a special diet and maybe we're all crazy for the attempt! Too bad they don't have mango halves along with the churros! Although maybe I'm remembering correctly that they sell diced mangoes in the fruit carts? She said hopefully! - Manawalea

They also sell sliced mangos @ the pier in DCA - MissAmericaSings 279.0 #740 9:27PM
That's one of my Favs there at DL, mango slices. By jungle cruise, splash mountain and big thunder I think also has them, along main street as well - MarshaMouse 2853.6 #16 9:56PM
I used to give him so many snacks in line to keep him busy and he would never complain he's hungry, now he's pickier so its not as easy - MarshaMouse

Wait till he hits his teen years. He'll eat anything and everything and even something. My son sure does, and he grows an inch a day I swear. 😁😄😄 - DisneyFanZoe 1096.7 #75 10:09PM
I have to agree with many above- never leave home without a bag full of snacks and treats. Crisis avoided! - MoonWillow
