I want to take my wife to the Blue Bayou sometime in May for Mothers Day. Any tips from anyone who's been before? She's a great mother and i'd like to surprise her.

I personally prefer going during lunchtime to going during dinner. The menu is slightly less expensive, but equal in quality :) I have also made a reservation for the last hour before closing and just done dessert.
