Happy Saturday one and all! I have a question that I was hoping some awesome MWers like yourselves could answer. So I am planning to take my mother to DL for her birthday in a few weeks. We haven't been together since I was little. Problem is she has a dog. Now I know most of you will say the kennel at the park but our furry best friend doesn't really enjoy the company of other cute animals. That being said, I was wondering if any of you knew of a pet friendly hotel near by so we can check on her thoughout the day? Thank you in advance!!!

Most hotels that allow dogs will charge you extra. Usually $50. And you usually have to sign an agreement that your dog will not be left alone in the room. It's for their safety, and your dog's. If the kennel isn't too full, you can usually ask that your dog be placed away from others. They can't see each other, he might only hear barking. We've had our dog there when it was full and even then the barking wasn't bad. Bring his own bed/towel, a shirt that smells like you and a favorite toy or chewy. Since you have to take him on potty breaks, he'll see you every few hours. Hell be fine! - Gia  782.1 #119 10:55PM
