Proposal ideas wanted-
Ok so my bro n law is going to propose to his girlfriend when we come down next month for my daughters 16th birthday trip. He wants us to be there His gf loves POTC. He wants to propose on the ride as they pass the blue bayou. Any ideas on how to make this special? Feel free to suggest away thanks MW!
Take her to dinner at the blue bayou, then have friends and family get on the ride holding signs up as they pass that part. Get a waterside table, of course. - brit-brit

It would have to be glow in the dark or something, to be curtain she can read it. Siting at the tables it's pretty hard to even make out the people in the boats. Just a thought. - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2530.1 #23 3:08PM
Good point SIC. Michael's may sell glow in the dark fabric paint. That's the only glow in the dark paint I can think of. Also make sure the signs have been sitting under a light source for a while to activate the glowing stuff - cesium55 529.7 #216 3:13PM

I can communicate through txt msg with a leader of the group to let you know we are seated and ready. All you guys will have to do is txt me before you get on the ride. Ask a cm for your own boat. And we will have 5 signs. Just need 5 ppl with a flashlight app on their phone to self luminate their signs. We can coordinate on a call. This is gonna be sweet!!! I wouldn't do it on POTC (but I've heard many people have). If you do it at BB, let the waiter/manager know ahead of time and they might be able to set something up. Talk to a cast member about doing this , but my Dance teacher proposed on a balcony in the back parts of new Orleans square. His soon to be brides famiy and soon to be maid of honor and best man were down below. That is by POTC but it's more seculded and romantic. - Raeofsunshine

Ok small update- he called dland. Guest services loved the idea. They are going to run it by blue bayou mgmnt so we have approval. Once we get that, i will make an official post with details, date and time. I am thinking we can have a conference call with those involved and discuss all the details if how it should go down. I'm getting it worked out in my head. Just have to have the volunteers and approval. (if not we can always ask forgiveness hehe) ;-)........ Stay tuned - DlandDude
