In your opinion is Space Mountain faster and scarier than Screamin? I love Space, fraidy cat for Screamin ** Day or Nighttime for first ride?**
Space mountain is fun and gives me the giggles, but Screamin' is a thrill. You have to ride it al least once. - FoolishMortal138

Yes I agree with that description - lisaw 96.3 #3075 11:58AM
I love both! On Space I love the sensation of being in the dark. It seems faster than it actually is. My 7 year old totally prefers Screamin. Her fave ride...by far!! - RCmom

Well, everyone has a different idea of what scares them when it comes to roller coasters -- Space Mountain may not be as scary (or maybe more so) because you can't see what's coming. Screamin' may be more nerve-racking because you can see everything -- but the loop isn't bad at all, and it's such a smooth ride! Try it once, I bet you'll like it. :) - BreadAndButterfly

I agree. I think it depends on what scares you. Space Mountain doesn't scare me at all but Screamin' does because of the fast start and the steep drops. - LaneSparrow316 846.9 #108 1:28PM
I LOVE Space Mountain! I've never been on Screamin' because of the height of it.... - IDVandalSkipperCM

I freak on Mickey's Wheel of Death and can't look down. Never been on TOT either. - IDVandalSkipperCM 1291.3 #63 11:55AM
Never been on TOT either. Nor WOD - PrincessDuckie 587.5 #187 12:05PM
Space Mountain made me dizzy and quasey. π±π±π± - LaPearleNoir

I get that way the last 10 seconds or so. But thankfully it only takes me a few minutes to get over it. - PrincessDuckie 587.5 #187 11:47AM
Duckie! You have to do it at least once! I did...and it took me 3 hours to recover! Wimpity wimp wimp am I! ;o) - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz

Where you dizzy or quesey? - PrincessDuckie 587.5 #187 11:49AM
Ka-weeee-zeeeeeee!!!! I needed a sprite and some sitting time. Hahaha! It just reminded me that I'm not 23 anymore! ;o) - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz 922.2 #94 11:58AM
Yeah that's it we are old. I remember doing the Knotts corkscrew about 15 in a row. And that one that is just a loop and you go straight up and then reverse about 10x in a row. I'm more conservative as a parent too - PrincessDuckie 587.5 #187 12:39PM
i always try riding SM while turned to face backwards...it deprives your senses of knowing where you are going and heightens the thrill dramatically. same for all the other coasters as well. try it sometime. - littleoysterz

This just sounds like a horrible idea.π - Sweet_Irish_Cream 2550.5 #22 12:05PM
Wow that's dangerous I already have a hard time going on it with neck and back problems which I go on since I love thrill but if I turn backward that would hurt - princessVanessa 382.5 #352 12:07PM
Good points. Scratch idea for me. I already can't to Indy or Matterhorn cause they hurt my back - PrincessDuckie 587.5 #187 12:36PM
ummm, how about just looking to the side? i cant imagine that is too harsh on the body. - littleoysterz 210.4 #1485 1:20PM
I'm not afraid of the loop, maybe it IS the height that bothers me so. Hopefully the next time we go with hubby I'll be brave enough to do it. He will protect me :-) - PrincessDuckie

*Thrill* is a good word for Screamin'. Space is probably scarier because you can't see where you are going and it whips you around a little more because of that. Screamin' is so smooth and there is such an amazing view from up there. Plus you can see where you are going and brace yourself accordingly. It's just fast. - MoonWillow

My husband doesn't like some roller coasters because of the "drop" feeling and he likes Screamin'. - MoonWillow 367.6 #377 12:13PM
If it's feeling high or that you'll fall that you are worried about, I will say that the track platform is very wide and has a railing so I never feel like I'm up too high or like I'm going to fall or anything- not like Goofy's Sky School! Now THAT is scary! My husband is also terrified of heights and Screamin' is OK for him. - MoonWillow 367.6 #377 12:47PM
I love Space Mountain but will admit that I kinda cried on Screamin'. I got on once and haven't been on since then. I suggest trying it at least once, you might love it! I love speed and don't mind being up high but I get nauseous with spinning and drops. - Vegan7LuvsStitch

I think Space mountain is far scarier than Screamin'. I didn't find it to be all that fast... It's very smooth. - NurseJennJillO

On screaming do what I do. Go with the ride. So when you go up, push yourself back. when you go down, push yourself forward and at the loop close your eyes. It's really not that bad. π - AshleyLynn22

I scream & laugh the entire time..screaming tickles my tummy more.. - Toehead2003

I absolutely LOVE Space Mountain and wish it was faster. I could go on it all day and I hate when it comes to an end. I expected to love Screamin, but sadly, I felt queasy afterward and have never braved it again. The loop didn't bother me at all... it was the launch I couldn't take. Wish I loved it, it's my son's favorite rideπ - Nala
