Any tips for visiting DL with a large group of 50-75 people? It's a school group and chaperones. I'm not sure if we'll stay together or break up into smaller groups. Any advise would be appreciated.
Smaller groups would be much easier for the attraction CMs as well as your chaperones. Its easier on the CMs to say 10 in your party...not 50. Not everyone is going to agree, but in smaller groups it would be easier to decide what to do next. then maybe during lunch time or sometime during the day everyone meet back up to account for everyone. - Armenda

Good point! I've seen large groups traveling together at WDW but not DL. - NikkiMickey 1583.8 #49 9:50AM
Yup!!! I know when we've had huge MW group meet ups (50 or more), it's crazy!! The poor CMs think we are joking when we tell them how many people!! It will be easier to break off into smaller groups for sure!! It will be easier for te chaperones as well to keep track of their kids! - caramiapoohAKAface 1449.2 #54 9:59AM
Make sure one person gets in a line and waits for an attraction then the other 49 people join up near the front. - WeLoveDisneyland

I'm going to do that just to see all the angry faces. π. Thanks for the great advise! - NikkiMickey 1583.8 #49 3:26PM
Also breaking into smaller groups will allow for different tastes. You might have a group that wants to ride startours all day long and another that doesn't want to ride it at all. Smaller groups allow for everyone to pick something they want to do - Pixarprincess

When I used to go with a camp we would break up into slow medium and fast groups depending on ride preference.. It will be easier to get around and decide what to ride, if you want everyone to be together maybe you can schedule a big group ride on jungle cruise or pirates at a certain point in the day - KelBelle

Or if teen girls are there, a shopping group too :-) - PrincessDuckie 588.1 #187 10:17AM
Good ideas! I especially like the idea of doing some group rides and POTC and Jungle Cruise are great choices! - NikkiMickey 1583.8 #49 3:27PM
I always take groups of 50 or more on field trips to various theme parks. My students are in high school so I let them go on their own. I give each group a time when they have to call me (not text me) just so I know they are at the park. I also have them check in (physically) during lunch time so I know everybody has eaten. Towards the end of the night I schedule a big meetup at a certain ride, so I tell them not to get on that ride until we all go on it, this way I make sure that nobody is late by the time the bus gets there. Just make sure to give them expectations before they get on the bus and the various consequences. If somebody is out of line I call their parent to pick them up (and they are not happy) I've only had to do this twice. - MozPrincess

The students range in age from 12-18. We'll have plenty of chaperones. The meeting up to check in is a great tip! - NikkiMickey 1583.8 #49 12:00AM
depending on how old everyone is, please give them their ticket to hold so they do not hold up lines. if they are not old enough or responsible enough then have one person or every 5 or 10 to hold the tickets but let them know to be prepared when they need to use them. we were behind a group of 10 or 15 going into DCA and they held the line up for awhile as the one who had the tickets decided to give them to everyone right then and it created a huge bottleneck. we tried to go around and they got angry. so better to be prepared. - secretagentangel
