I just completed the entire 5K on my treadmill! WOOO HOOOOO Not bad for this ol' couch potato!
... This was a run/walk in 47.38 - that is 22 seconds under the minimum pace requirement. Next goal is less walking, more running and increased speed.
Thanks so much for the great support. I'm working towards the DL 5K in September. It's my first and I want to be sure to make it to the finish line! - D55CR

What an awesome way to train! Could I do this on my eliptical? - msdizmaui

Way to go!!! Just be sure you also train outdoors as well. There can be quite a bit of difference between running on the treadmill and running outdoors. - vernswifevickie

Lol, so true! And allergies complicate matters! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.3 #285 6:44AM
I will definitely be working on getting outdoors more often this summer. I ran 2 miles with my daughter a couple of weeks ago and realized how much harder it is out on the road. My problem is I live in the hills and it's hard to find a good flat place to run up here. - D55CR 245.4 #1051 10:14AM
