The end of this month carnation plaza will be gone. who else is going to miss this? And share your most favorite memory?
Very, very sad!!! My greatest memories are going swing dancing there every Sat night and during the summer every Fri and Sat night in the mid 90's for almost 10 years!! I was taught my first steps just over the little bridge in between the castle and CPG!! It was such an awesome scene back then and everyone would get dressed up and dance until they kicked us out!! We had some amazing jam sessions back then!! I also remember making a "girls dance" with some of my friends and I can still do it today!!! I also remember when they served Carnation ice cream back there and in between sets we'd load up on ice cream!! There were some nights when we would put baby powder on the dance floor to make it more slippery but the CMs would always get mad!!! LOL!! I can't forget when Manyard would come and dance all crazy with us!! Dancing with Mickey Mouse there was also something I will never forget!! I made soo many wonderful friendships there and I am still great friends with many of them today!! I'm really going to miss this place!! It makes me very sad. - caramiapoohAKAface

I loved being able to grab a cinnamon tea latte from the Market House, catch the 8:30 band set, and then watch the fireworks from there. I'd much rather sit here and watch the dancers than elecTRONica. - iFramedRogerRabbit

When we were younger, my sisters and I would sit here with my mom and listen to the music or watch the shows and dancers. My mom loved DL. I lost her almost seven years ago and I still go sit here to listen to the music. - Willierose

no way, i played their when i was in jr high school band it was the best day of my life so far to that day. i still remember walking back stage and then going onstage to play for the crowd, what a bummer - hotspot
