#MEET UP-SATURDAY, APRIL 21st, 8:00 pm @ CARNATION PLAZA GARDENS!!! Come join me for the Jump, Jive, Boogie Swing Party Featuring Stompy Jones! Dresse up if you would like as many will be dressing up this Sat!! All are welcome, whether you can swing dance or have never done it before. I am more then happy to teach those who would like to learn the basics. I'm just missing a guy partner to help me teach, so if you know of a good swing dancer, that's a guy, bring him!!! You don't need to worry about having a partner bc everyone dances with eachother!! They run 30 min sets, so in between sets is the perfect time to learn. I'm hoping you will all enjoy it enough to come back the following Sat, April 28th, for the final swing night. CPG will be closing on April 30th :( It should hopefully be a great turn out the last night of all those that have danced there over the years!! I will definitely be stopping by that night, for a final dance. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my bday at DL!! Please comment if you're interested in coming on the 21st!! Just did some quick research and it will reopen in Winter 2013 as Fantasy Faire. During the day it will be a meet the Disney princesses type thing and at night it will continue to have live entertainment and music. Hope they carry on the swing dancing tradition when it returns. It would be great if they would switch it to Friday nights so more people with other levels of annual passes could go. But we shall see.... - PickyPicky

I would wear something you would be comfortable dancing in. Like a dress, skirt or pants. If you have any vintage looking outfits, wear that!! Unfortunately my vintage clothes are in storage, so I have to come up with something myself!! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes you can dance in. Id suggest some flats, converse, TOMS, or anything you might have. I'll be in my TOMS probably.
