He many people strategize their day in the parks? The other day I was in line and a father was on his cell speaking to the mom I guess they were on opposite sides of the park, he was telling her he was grabbing FP's and she should grab them as well. Then they should do Indy, HM, then POC and then they could use their FP's. I chuckled having an AP
the strategy can go out the window.

Me too! Part of the fun is just going with the flow. Although I usually get a Fastpass for Space Mountain when I first get there, then the rest is unplanned! - BreadAndButterfly 505.3 #233 9:22PM
That's the best way! We will sometimes have something one of us "craves" so we make a point of that one (like tomorrow we promised our daughter we'll do the carousel because we didn't do the one at the Wild Animal Park today). But other than that we just go where we feel like it :) - Autoalice 135.7 #2506 11:24PM
The only strategizing I do, is which snack to have first. Dole Whip, Popcorn or Mickey Pretzel. - splashphotoCM

My family use to in the 80s but it was based on who saw the Matterhorn first and picked the first ride. Now, none at all. Just stroll the park and do whatever whenever. I can understand those vacationing here from out of state doing this so they can do everything. - KissDclown

Ha! This reminds me of one time in the 90's my family used walkie-talkies to coordinate who's with who and where we were meeting...etc. Before cell phones obviously...my folks thought they were geniuses by bringing walkies to help keep track of us teenagers at the time LOL! :o) - HadMatter 351.2 #406 9:16PM
My brother and I use to think that was a smart idea too lol we never did it though - KissDclown 1088.1 #76 9:20PM
I guess I'm old school... We always use Walkie Talkies when at DL cause the roaming fees for our Canadian Cell Phones are crazy expensive when down in the States... - proudcanuck 476.4 #248 12:37AM
We only get to go a couple times a year, and have a huge to do list, so we definitely strategize ahead of time. Plus, I think it's fun to plan it out. But we try to be pretty flexible with it throughout the day. - LittleAprilShowers

We are flexible with eating except when we have reservations. And we definitely have "must do's." But, yes...we are 1000 miles away. We don't want to miss a thing. (Though there are attractions we don't care about. We always get it all done with plenty of time for repeats.) - PeachKay 310.6 #555 9:32PM
I love having an AP! No need to rush anything. I take it easy peasy, lemon sqeezy :) - PrincessMacy

I don't plan my visit, but I go quite a bit, even though I live in the Bay Area. I can see people who have to squeeze in as much as they can in a few days, because they aren't able to visit as often, have a plan. 😊 - DisneyFanZoe

We work the parks in a circuit type loop. In off season we make sure to pass a restaurant before it closes. No worrie now with late close times. - Plumiegirl

Haha all my close friends at vet school have a pass and we hate waiting so we have things planned out. Anything more than 15 min is too long for us. When we go on the weekends we go as soon as t opens and have it planned out perfectly to finish most of both parks by 2 pm. It's a pretty sweet strategy. When we have afternoons off we take it slow and mosey through but we still stuffer waiting too long haha - sunnibear87

There's too much strategizing in life as you grow up. When it comes to DL, I mostly just like to show up and play it by ear. 😊 - Sweet_Irish_Cream

My family just meanders around haha. We just walk from land to land and do whatever is empty. There's always rides that we really want to go on, but we never split up and try to get every FP available. One time we went, we only got on like 3 rides all day and just shopped around. We try to make it relaxing! - JoeDownTheRabbitHole

During the years where we have only gone once a year, we have been very structured and organized about our time in the parks. When you only have a few days, you have to plan carefully to make sure you make the most of your time. However, the last couple of years we have been blessed to visit every few months, so I'm not as obsessed with planning every minute. - PrincessKristin

I always have to have to have to have a plan while being in the parks...it drives me nuts when my boyfriend insists on just walking around and seeing where we end up-__-AGGH - TeenMickey

I don't and that's what I love about having an AP. Even though I live far, I can visit often enough that I don't feel like I need to rush or pack so much into one day. Even before I had an AP and my family would go once a year, we only planned out our meals. The rest of the day was just whatever we felt like doing at the moment. - Jillian

Thank goodness for our Ap! Nope, no plan just a general idea of what rides we want to go on or shows we wanna see. Take our time and enjoy the time there more then anything. - ATankNamedFrank
