Fantastic! We are staying there this time round! And splurging and having 3 nights at the DL hotel....I'm traveling with my son and my parents. We got a 30% discount at DL hotel because my dad is 60!!!! How awesome is that 😄 Do you know if the Disney Soda Fountain in Hollywood is worth a day trip? - ariel1981 276.8 #760 5:17AM
If there is a good movie playing at the el capitan or you can get tickets to jimmy kimmel or something playing at the pantages, you can easily make a day of it. There is also Hollywood and highland, the former Kodak theatre (cirque du soleil has a show there), and the Chinese theatre across the street. - bluefairy 627.2 #174 6:43PM
We did a Hollywood day trip last June. It was fun to do all that touristy stuff. :) - PeachKay 310.6 #557 8:42PM
I've been to the Disney soda fountain store twice now but only because we were staying about 5 minutes from Hollywood boulevard. It's good but I don't think it's worth the trip if u are only going to do that.I think it's about 45 minutes away 😃 - aussiekate

Hi aussiekate! Any suggestions as to "must do's"? I went for 7 days in 2010 and still seem to have missed a lot - ariel1981 276.8 #760 5:37AM
Universal studios for king kong - Kurt76 32.4 #4267 7:48AM
I really liked Universal Studios and Knottsberry farm was pretty good. I took my son who is 8 to Legoland last year and that was a bit disappointing!
I would definitely do a day trip to LA and see all the sights! I'm a huge fan of LA! I would live there if they would let me! The beaches are great to have a look at. They also let u stop for a bit at Hollywood boulevard so u could go over and have a look at the Soda Fountain and Manns Chinese theatre and El capitan! My family and I looove going to the Walmart that's near DL! We can spend all day in there!! 😃 - aussiekate
