trying to plan a belated honeymoon/birthday trip for DownTheRabbitHole and I to Disney World in june. Any opinions on hotels you guys have stayed at in WDW in the past? Im looking in the value or moderate choices.
I stayed at Pop Century Resort... if you just want a place to sleep, rest, store your belongings and a good pool, then go for a value resort (fridge is an extra fee, and no microwave inside the room). And Pop Century is the best hotel in the Value Category - otilegna

Pop Century is also the only value resort that doesn't share bus service with other properties. Its buses go directly to the parks and directly back to the resort. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you're exhausted and needing to go back to your room, the last thing you want to do is be delayed up to 30 minutes because you have to make another stop. I'm on a tight budget for my trip in July as I'm going alone for 5 days and have no one to split costs with -- I have stayed at the Pop Century before and am doing it again! I like it a lot. I would also advise you to look into their summer specials they have going right now on packages -- it's only 5% off Value Resorts, but I think like 35% off Moderates like the very popular Port Orleans French Quarter! Even with the discount it's a bit too expensive for me to stay at Port Orleans, but it might work for you, budget-wise! Have a great time! - BreadAndButterfly 505.3 #234 10:17AM
Another vote for Pop Century! - flukefan 266.4 #863 11:04AM
Naturally, flukefan. When are we going back? :) ***Note to OP*** The value resorts now have mini fridges in the rooms, and they come at no extra charge. We brought a bag of cereal and Pop Tarts and bought milk by the half gallon at POP's food court. By eating breakfast in our room each day, I figured we saved about $400 (we stayed for two weeks, though). We also packed snacks (fruit snacks, jellybeans, crackers and cheese, etc.). We bought the resort mug ($14), but the drink refills were free when eating at the food court. That saved $$$$, too. - susieQzee 480.9 #247 12:13PM

We stayed at Old Key West. We liked it a lot, it was very quiet. It also has it's own bus which was really nice - DebbyMouse7531

Ooo that is definitely good to know about the buses! For the value i was looking at the pop century or the all star movies hotels and for moderate i was looking at the port orleans riverside and french quarters. Im just soooooo undecided lol - CupcakeJedi

Has anyone stayed at the dolphin or swan resorts? They come pretty cheap in a package from costco and look nice but idk anything about them. Im hesitant since theyre not owned by disney - CupcakeJedi

I have heard they are really nice and they are in a good location near Epcot. You can use all of the Disney transportation except the magical express which is a free bus from the airport. You should also post this question on MW FL because I know a few people have stayed at the swan or dolphin. Have a great trip! - Andrea84 306.4 #15 9:48AM
We stayed at Dixie Landings for our honeymoon. It has been renamed Port Orleans Riverside (I believe). It was nice, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. - Sugarbuzz
