This is my son Martin who is Autistic. April is Autistic Awerness Month and I just want to say how thankful I am that Disneyland offers a Guest Assistance pass for people like Martin. I know many abuse it, which angers me to no ends, if it wasn't for the Guest Assistance Pass, we would not get to enjoy the gift that Walt created for
Everyone. So this month while you are in the park and notice someone like my son, ask them if they are having a good time and watch their eyes light up. It will ale your day.
I hope you're having a wonderful day! Thank you for the reminder that Disneyland was created for everyone to enjoy. - teach67

Wow Martin looks so happy!! That smile brings me a smile! I've been working with autistic kids & adults in developmental learning skills through vision therapy for 5 years now & I believe that they are the smartest & brightest kids & adults that I know. They are such positive & happy individuals! & I enjoy my job so much, it's such a rewarding experience. I think that it is a shame for people to abuse those passes. But I'll definitively say hi & ask Martin how his wonderful day is going if I ever see him at the parks! :) - gigibunny2

What a great smile! My son has Asperger's. We used a GAC when he was 5 and it was a huge help. He's now 16 and able to navigate the park just fine without a GAC (we love our Fastpasses!). I'm glad GACs are available to give everyone a chance to enjoy the parks. Have a wonderful time! - bunnymama

Aww how fun! I'm a behavior tutor for autistic kiddos and I tell all my families about the GAC! I love my job and thanks for reminding all that it's autism awareness month 😄 - minnieMisty

That's a great tip for parents. Not many people know about it. I think I'll start sharing that tip as well. It really makes a difference. So glad that Disney does this, they are so considerable of their guests. :) - gigibunny2 242.7 #1080 7:35PM
