I am thinking about a RAK for lunch at Club 33 this summer that will include 6-8 people, myself included for lunch. What I want to know is how to make it fair and what paramiters I should use? Any help or ideas would be great.
In all seriousness I would wait to get a real grasp on the lounge so you can judge for yourself. It's a once in a lifetime experience for many so I hope you get to share it with people whose company you will genuinely enjoy :) - MayBie

I agree. So many people are going to enter that it'll be ridiculous. It is SOOO kind of you, but waiting until you know people around here may be best =) Then you can have an enjoyable experience with people that are sure to be good company! - KylaShea 533.2 #212 9:42PM
are you paying for it if they don't show up? personally i would love to take a bunch of strangers on the internet to a lunch of this magnitude⨠- toph 2397.6 #25 8:50AM
I think you should only let ppl who have never been enter the RAK. I have been and I think someone who hasn't been deserves the experience!!!! This is very nice of you!! I'd also make sure they understand what it costs (the price of a day ticket) unless you are paying for everyone!! Also, if they don't have an AP, whether or not they would have to pay for admission plus Club 33. - caramiapoohAKAface
1437.6 #54 8:59PM
That's a great idea. I've been, but I was very young (6 or 7 i think) so I really dont remember much. I went the day splash mountain opened :) - Nicole 380.2 #353 9:04PM
You can enter for me, Cara!ππ - Gia 782.1 #118 9:37PM
I agree with the only allowing those that have never been. But what does an AP have to do with it? - Lelundrial 339.5 #430 7:35AM
I think she means that if they don't have an ap, they have to also be prepared to purchase their ticket to get into the park, on top of the expensive meal. - Vegan7LuvsStitch 798.6 #116 7:41AM
Ah ok, I was thinking limit it to those that have an AP. Dang those would be some majorly strict parameters. - Lelundrial 339.5 #430 7:55AM
don't do it.........trust me. - BalooTBear
904.3 #97 9:55AM
That would be amazingly generous of you. I think that, if you wanted to do something like that and make it "fair", you would have to choose randomly. If you thought it might be awkward for everyone to sit around with strangers (though we are all MW'ers so I think it would be fine) you could randomly choose 3 and allow each to bring a guest. Anyway, just thoughts. - MoonWillow
367.4 #377 9:04PM
This sounds fair. Very nice of you to share the experience with others. Should definitely be a great time for you and the lucky winners. It's like hitting the lottery (: - Tink_85 113.2 #2837 9:14PM
Hi my new MW bff = ) - donnievegas
1127.5 #72 8:57PM
You see the problem? People are already trying to enter even though you aren't actually doing it now.
You have to make sure you explain the complete parameters of entry. How many are you drawing? How many per party? Can someone bring a guest, or is it single winner per entry? Is it Dutch, or are treating? Admission to the park? Alot of this has been covered, but there are a lot of things to think about before you offer this. - SorcererBHhaha
408.5 #317 9:32PM
I see how it can get complicated. All of this needs to be in consideration, but I'm sure that the rules to bring a guest at Club 33 will apply for the RAK. I think he covered the guests situation, - gigibunny2 242.7 #1071 9:38PM
I think it's only fair that the winner needs know they have to cover for their own expenses at any cost. - gigibunny2 242.7 #1071 9:40PM
Thanks for your input. They would have to have their own admission to the park. Rules have changed so there is a limit on complementary tickets. I am thinking only an individual for a total of six. Perhaps on a Sunday and they will pay for their own lunch. And yes, must be first visit to Club 33. - butternard 26.1 #4573 9:44PM
That would be perfect. I can't go since I won't be there at all this year, so if you need help, reach out. There are plenty of worthy people on here, and quite a few that could help you choose. - SorcererBHhaha 408.5 #317 9:49PM
It sounds like a fair deal! - gigibunny2 242.7 #1071 9:53PM
I think you should pick three people and let them bring one guest. I'd feel torn to have to experience it without my significant other - MayBie 1864.2 #40 10:55PM
I would also suggest running this RAK by Admin if and when you decide to do it! I have seen in the past that Admin has asked for verification that you are able to provide this option. Just to protect from potential hurt and problems!! - Deltachiq
968.8 #90 10:13PM
Actually, i think the first 11 to respond and marshamouse should go - madsdad 1119.6 #73 8:59PM
******But of course! Lol - MadameLeota 933.0 #93 9:01PM
People with higher points and someone that has never been. Yes I have low points but it would definitely wouldn't be fair if I was chosen. I'm not part of the fam just yet :) just a thought. - tswift13_Baileys
13.5 #5915 8:59PM
You would have to pay for your own lunch. - butternard
26.1 #4573 9:00PM
Yup that's a given! The previous club 33 RAKS have been the same way :) - MayBie 1864.2 #40 9:02PM
I agree folks need to pay for their meal and gratuity - Plumiegirl 3307.0 #10 11:30PM
I also like the idea of choosing among people who have never been. - MoonWillow
367.4 #377 9:06PM
I say you choose however you feel comfortable. Make sure that you set up a date on when you plan on going, but with enough time to let the winner plan for that date, & make great communication with this person bc that's very important. To be fair is really hard, possibly your thinking of giving it to someone deserving or someone who has never been, but whatever the case is I'm sure that anyone here on MW will appreciate having the chance to go to Club 33. it's really your call & no one will condemn you for the way you distribute your RAK. We all think its a great & generous act! Good luck! Will be looking forward to his myself too but don't feel pressured by anyone. π - gigibunny2
242.7 #1071 9:15PM
I agree with MayBie's post. And would like to add you might want to limit it to a certain ranking cuz there are people who lurk and never post except for RAKs. A lot of people come out of the woodwork for these things. Plus you have to have a certain rank in order to DM someone so it will be difficult to contact each other without broadcasting freely personal information - cesium55
529.7 #215 9:55PM
What rank do you need to DM someone? - butternard 26.1 #4573 10:02PM
G2T is correct. It got bumped up - cesium55 529.7 #215 12:00AM
But there are also people with a lot of rank points who do not necessarily contribute in a meaningful way to the lounge/app... - bluefairy 627.0 #173 1:43AM
You'll get stuck with the bill! - Katrayher
739.0 #138 11:08PM
Although it is a fun idea it has been done before and caused a ton of drama. I have found it is best to select some friends you have met and have a great time. - BalooTBear
904.3 #97 8:30AM
Really sad that someone can't do something nice, because you have people that will scream and holler about not winning.
- Lelundrial 339.5 #430 8:34AM
I agree. Club 33 is such a touchy subject. - KissDclown 1088.1 #76 8:35AM
I don't think the MW rank should matter. There are some devoted Disney fans that can't make it to Disneyland all the time to earn tons of points. I'm on all the time and love being here. And only able to go a little bit to Disneyland. I would love to be able to go to Club 33 but it's a dream. So I think MW ranks shouldn't be in the equation. Now I do like the idea of people who have never been and that are AP holders. - tigntink
179.3 #1869 10:14AM
To be fair I think you should just take the first 6-8 people who comment on this post ;) - MayBie
1864.2 #40 8:54PM
Lol that would be pretty funny. - fairyshley 467.5 #260 8:56PM
^ I soooo second that idea :) - FoolishMortal138
234.1 #1179 8:57PM
Hmm...not sure but what a generous RAK idea βΊ
And no...I am NOT sucking up just so you'll take me... *indignant foot stomp*

Wow....great RAK!!!! Worth me moving from Australia to Anaheim for. :) so generous of you - ariel1981
276.7 #756 9:00PM
Very generous RAK idea!!! I would put a requirement like saying, only people that have held their own previous RAK can enter! That way the gift of giving keeps on giving! Good luck! You are going to be very popular in here now! - luvmygreenarmyman 171.5 #1975 10:19PM
I have no idea why this posted here. Sorry! - luvmygreenarmyman 171.5 #1975 10:21PM
I think you should pick me so I can bring my brother for his 15 birthday. This would mean the world to me if I won this he would be so excited if I took him to club 33 please pick me - Masterblaster2000
7.6 #7816 9:02PM
I have been a few times, it is expensive. If you have an annual pass you still
have to spend the ticket price. We gave our tickets to a family waiting in line. But I am sure you know this. - SingingPansy
16.2 #5482 9:04PM
You may or may not get a day ticket. Depends on how the person wants to use their options, as they have changed this year. The first time I went, my friend and I each got a ticket and just had to pay $80 for lunch. This time we were just given the reservation at Club 33, so those that don't have an Ap have to pay $80 to get into DL and $80 for the meal. Since I have an AP, I just have to pay $80 for dinner. - caramiapoohAKAface 1437.6 #54 9:23PM
I can't imagine it being more expensive than dinner at the Napa Rose... (which is wonderful btw..)
Anyway I second the pick people who've never been *cough cough* my birthday is in the summer... Just throwing it out there ;)) - LolatheSlush 201.3 #1604 9:29PM
Club 33 rules have changed as they have limited the number of comped tickets which are saved for family and friends so if they don't have a pass, they would have to pay to enter the park. - butternard 26.1 #4573 9:50PM
I am turning 33 this year *hint, hint* - PinkElephants
632.9 #168 9:04PM
I think you should pick me cause I finally have a job at Disney and can pay for my lunch. I can take you to Comany D too! (bribe, bribe, bribe) - SUUZinOC

I would say don't do it. The last person who did it..... well.... that's a sore spot for a lot of older MWers. - DuffysJuju
627.4 #172 11:46PM
This is a fabulous RAK and it's so very generous. I know a lot of us here would like to experience this once. So the fact that you're willing to give that opportunity is great. I hope whoever you pick to join you has a lovely time! - PiecesOf8

The significant other,my sister and myself would love to go it would be a wonderfull 1st time experience but seeing that you can only get in through invite or have a paid membership i dont see it becoming a reality anytime soon. Our passes expire on the 21st and i see little posssibilty of renewing our passes. Awesome rak and i hope everyone enters great luck. :) - Mulan26

It would be so nice of you no matter how you do it. Club 33 is a number one bucket list item for so many people on this app. I think everyone would be happy for anyone who got chosen. Happy RAK planning. - VanDisney

Wow! This is very generous of you! I would suggest talking to other MWers who have RAKed off a Club 33 meal (I can remember of one occasion) and see what they did! All in all, this is a fantastic RAK! π - Kimmehface

I agree with you butternard you should pick six individuals.
- cyndaws
252.8 #981 8:42AM
These are the parameters I would personally put in. 1. Have never been before. 2 no entering for someone else, no exceptions. 3. MW rank above 100. 4. If it were going to be say a total of 8 people. I would then say 4 winners, and each winner can invite 1 person. Only 1 person. - Lelundrial
