Hey all, I'm sure there is a MWer who can answer a question for me. My ex boyfriend and I broke up about a month ago after two years together, and I had bought him an AP. I have been making the monthing payments and I really don't wanna pay for him anymore, since he isn't going to DL with me I don't want him to go with anyone else, hehe. So my question is can I cancell his pass and stop paying or can I swap it and put it in someone else's name? Thanks for the help a head of time. :)

Or you can change the card account number to his card. I did this when I opened a new checking account. You can find the number on the Disney website. And tell them to change the account number to a different card. Hope this helps. - PrincessMermaid

No, I'm sorry. You can't cancel or change the name. You have to finish paying for it until they expire. When its time to renew, just don't renew his. - Armenda

Yeah, unfortunately you can't just stop paying unless you've paid off the full amount. If you could just cancel, many people would buy an AP for vacation and cancel it after the month so a whole trip is only $15-30. You can change card numbers, I've done it, but the name stays the same. You MAY be able to call and explain that it was a gift and you want to put the card under his name. I don't see why it'd be a problem to do that considering his name is on the AP anyways. Good luck! - KylaShea

I don't mind still paying for it, I just wish I could pay for it and have someone elsr go instead of him. I know he hasn't gone since we broke up and I'm sure he probably won't go. I can't change the account to his cuz we aren't really talking, I am sure if it came to it he would talk to me, but I would rather not. I think he only has like two months left so it's not to big of a deal. It was just wishful thinking hoping I could change it. - alibug

the problem with the monthly payments is that you agreed to a contract for the year on it. If you stop it goes to collections. I pay mine off in full so it's a done deal. I guess it is in the fine print probably no change no refund. The site said: Passports do not guarantee theme park admission (especially during high attendance periods), are nonrefundable, nontransferable and remain the property of Disney. Last thought, if he does not give the pass back to you call and ask if you can report it stolen and get it blocked. - Plumiegirl

I actually like the monthly payments. I ok with still paying the rest of his year just was wishing i could give the rest of his year to someone else. I checked he only has two months left so no big deal now - alibug 137.3 #2484 2:13PM
If you have a mutual friend that knows your ex, just have them get the pass from him so you'll know that at least he will not be using it and you can continue paying it off (if you didn't mind doing so). - NOTaFITZHERBERT
