Finished the week at an even 240, I'm still 3lbs heavier than I was before Christmas, but I've stayed away from over 262 that I was last year.
I know a lot of it is stress, I'm one of those ppl who internalize everything. My therapist was surprised that I said that out loud, I told her I could actually list what was wrong with me, I'm self diagnosing after years of hating my life. Last week I had my first marriage counseling appt and I have to wonder if getting some of it out helped me get rid of almost 3 lbs in a week. Last year I got tired of being heavy. Life long weight struggle, I'm Hispanic, raised on carbs, always told it was better to eat something to feel better. I took a look at my health, realized if I kept gaining (even though I gave up caring) i would end up dead, and would miss the rest of my sons life. We got premium ap's and go as often as we can so I can get in some mileage to add, it keeps me motivated! I want to look pretty for myself, to be able to look in the mirror without being upset. Ok time to end my pity party! Just wanted to share why Chub 333 has helped make me happier :D
Not a pity party at all!! Realizing you want to make changes in your life takes courage! You should be very proud of yourself. I also grew up in a family that centered things around food. Obesity is a sad reoccurrence in my family but, like you decided enough was enough and that I wanted to enjoy my life! I'm down to 194 lbs and feeling better every day. I just found out I was pregnant and Determined to continue my healthy eating and not just pig out since "I'm eating for two". If you ever need any support, whether it's venting about a bad day, sharing your victories (big and small) chubb33 is a wonderful place and community. The support here is a continuous help for me, welcome! - LisaMouse7531

Congrats!!! I've known ladies who were successful in keeping their weight even and healthy during pregnancy who were over the "ideal" pre pregnancy weight. I used to work at motherhood maternity :) - tinkerbella728 175.5 #1917 10:39AM
That's good to know! I'm really hoping I can maintain and I feel more motivation than ever to eat healthy! - LisaMouse7531 408.9 #316 2:39PM

Thank you ladies!!! It really has helped being here. I'm putting more effort into losing rather than finding the extra lbs! I haven't joined WW for so many reasons, my mom is a Jenny Craig dropout, but I learned a lot that I've kept to since then! I am considering Nutrisystem for the convenience of prepared meals, but my biggest drawback is cost, for every program. - tinkerbella728

I really think the best diet isn't one at all. Just healthy choices, being conscious and exercising. If finances are an issue than I would use the app Lose It. You can track your food, exercise, it tailors your calorie intake to your goals, etc. - LisaMouse7531 408.9 #316 2:41PM
