Dearest Mousewaiters, I would like to give you an update on Princess Daisy Rachel Young. First and foremost thanks to each and every single one of you for your thoughts, prayers, love, and support. It has been such a blessing and comfort to her and her family and has really lifted all of our spirits turning this difficult time. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts and souls, words cannot express our gratitude and appreciation.Your prayers are working, Rachel is out of the ICU and in a regular room! They have removed her catheter and she is off oxygen! She eating and is able to feed herself with her one good arm! Her pain pump is being used sparingly and her digestion is under control! A ton of the swelling has gone down and the doctors are seeing improvement everyday in her motor and sensory functions! She can move her toes a little but still not her legs, but she is gaining more sensation everyday! She has been cleared to sit up for one hour each day and was cleared to move her arm on the side of her body where her broken collarbone and shoulder blade are. They sat her up for the first time on what they call a broda chair and wheeled her to a window! They are saying that they might be able to even take her outside! (she hasn't seen daylight in 12 days or breathed fresh air in 13) There is still a VERY long road ahead but these are all are all steps closer to rehabilitation! This is all thanks to the power of prayer from all of you wonderful people in the Mousewait community!!! You have all made this progress possible! Extra special and extreme heartfelt thanks to secretagentangel, soccerash21, sugarbuzz, wendytink, PrincessKristin SmartyPantsRomec123 and all of those who I may have forgot to mention (sorry) that have sent cards and gifts YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS HAS MEANT TO HER AND HOW IT HAS LIFTED HER SPIRITS AND BRIGHTENED HER DAYS!!!
