I'm having an internal battle with myself. I am trying to force myself to watch the little mermaid 3 at least once. I have it right here. And on the platinum edition of the original (I just watched) there was a preview... and now I want to watch it even less. Ahhhh!
Watch it ... It's not as good as the original and has flaws but it's watch worthy for 3 reasons... 1) Seeing Ariel's mom and learning what happened to her 2) Ariel's sisters are a big part of the story and are pretty funny/cute 3) You see Ariel as a toddler :) - Aquata

Agreed, I thought it was cute and the whole music story is fun. It's not top notch but it isn't terrible. - cynDOLEwhip 744.1 #137 6:24AM
Actually this and TLK2 are the only 2 Disney sequels that I dare say I "like" (Aside from the Toy Story films) - Aquata 292.2 #659 6:39AM
My daughter really likes TLM3- but I think it has a very sad overtone. Still, it is one of the better sequels. - MoonWillow 367.4 #378 8:04AM
Dont do it!! Sequels are almost always bad. I did say almost always, so please don't attack me lol. - fairyshley

I didn't know either until it happened to come in a lot of Disney movies the hubby baught me as a present. The original was always my favorite too! I saw the second one by default cause the little sister wanted to when she was little. It was.... eh. But it's just bothering me and looks so terrible. When couldn't they just let classics be classics. 3 little mermaids, 3 cinderellas (I think), 3 aladins, a bunch of beauty and the beasts. Walt would be so disappointed. - Poisen_Ivy 257.9 #925 1:23AM
There's a third Aladdin?? - Mr. Fredrickson 120.4 #2725 8:32AM
I'm probably going to be attacked for saying this, but it's actually not that bad. Although, Disney does have a track record for bad sequels. - JoeDownTheRabbitHole

hmm. Well at least you're honest. No attacking necessary. Honestly, my big turn off was the difference in annimation. It was very obvious to me and bothered me. Oh and flounders voice. Given, I know it's unrealistic to expect it all to be the same but still. Oh goodness I am at a loss still as to what i want to do. - Poisen_Ivy 257.9 #925 1:27AM
I guess the story line wasn't bad. But I did have a problem with how computerized it looked, nothing like the original and Flounder's voice was really off. You're right how they couldn't make it exactly the same, but sometimes I wish they's stop with the sequels. The only sequels that get better for me was the Toy Story movies. - JoeDownTheRabbitHole 395.9 #336 1:32AM
There's a third movie? - SorcererD91

I was going to say the same exact thing. I am so behind on my direct to video Disney game - Slotherini 882.4 #99 6:22AM
I feel the same about sequels and me and my go to war about that all the time - sgv93ls

Yes I hate that the animation is different! Thoar of you that know, what is the difference in animation styles that make the sequels look so yukky? - PrincessDuckie

The beauty and the beast sequel was atrocious lol. I did really like the Christmas one though! - madsdad 1123.4 #73 7:07AM
I am not a big fan of backwards trilogies...it's so weird and often times done strange imho 😒 - SkellyMouse

I actually kinda want to see this one. I didn't at first cuz I saw TLM 2 and was very disappointed in it and swore off sequels. But this one looks interesting (then again that's what I thought about the second one) - cesium55

I'm a lot more concerned about the schizophrenia implied in your post than what movie your watching. - Mouse4life
