I have noticed when I peek at wait times that they seem to be fairly short late at night! I have zero experience at DL since I was a child so I dont remember details like that... Is it typical that the park slows down later in the evening? To those of you that frequent the parks: about what time would you say you've noticed it start to get less busy (if that is true)? Nothing specific... I'm just curious if you've noticed a time ever. And I'm just wondering if any of you can describe what Disney is like at night! All the photos y'all post are beautiful--what kind of differences do you notice between a Disney day vs a Disney night? In terms of atmoshphere, activities, people that are there... Anything. Thanks!
I love Disney at night and prefer to go in the evening. I would say crowds start thinning out after fireworks but it's really depending on the season. A lot of locals come to parks after work/evening on Friday and Saturday nights. You should definitely check out Fantasmic during your stay! I hope you have a great time! - JenInWonderland

Thank you! I will be there the 1st week of may... From what I've found online that's considered a slightly more busy time of year, but spring break will have just ended and grad nights are still a few weeks out, so I'm hoping for slightly fewer crowds! It usually starts to slow down after parades or fireworks. It gets pretty empty at night when school is in, but when school is out, it's normally busy all day. - JoeDownTheRabbitHole

From what the calendar is showing currently, since we will be there mon-sat (am) there will only be fireworks and late night 1 night during our stay. The rest of the nights the park closes at 9ish I think.... Hopefully still late enough that some of the crowds will have died down. - jalensmommy 150.1 #2293 11:13PM

Hi there and welcome :) you are a very curious person and full of questions lol I don't go really often, maybe once a month. From what I have noticed is that around 4 pm younger kids tend to get cranky and want to sleep, so the parents take them back to hotels. After the fireworks, lots of people usually leave. I love sitting at the train station and watching the big mob walk to the exits. Teenagers are usually there from opening to closing, sadly you can't seem to get away from the annoying ones. But later one there are less kids which means less strollers :) hope this helped kinda - GodOfWine

Thanks! I love to go on MW throughout the day and look and pics and read through the thread. It is really an amazing place :) you're right, I usually am posting a question when I post! I'm looking forward to actually being AT the parks to be able to post pics, wait times, etc and meet other MWers. I downloaded the all first to help me plan my upcoming trip and then discovered the lounge which has been an excellent resource on top of the fun aspect of it! You guys are full of great advice.
