Searched and did not find a post about the ECV rentals.
I have a hernia that needs surgery. This came up all of a sudden and I will probably not be able to get the surgery before we are in DL April 2nd. I'm a little bit concerned I will have trouble with walking all day long for 3 days.
I see that you can rent an ECV for $50 but that is only for one day right? Like you can't keep it for the length of your pass for that price? Trying to figure what to do. Any ideas? Is there a cheaper way to rent one if you do not live locally besides through Disneyland?
We just rented one for 3 days from Mobility Source. It was $100 total and even though they are based in san diego, they delivered it to our hotel even before we checked in, and then picked it up after we left. It was awesome! In really good condition, kept a full charge even after a full day at the park, and very maneuverable. I highly recommend them! - jmgphx

There is a place that rents them right next to the Ramada Maingate. Don't know the name or cost. Good luck! - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz

BTW, the Ramada is literally walki g distance, right across the street from the parks. - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz 922.2 #94 7:20AM
Whether you walk, ride, or a little of both make it a great trip! Tips:: Get a pass from City Hall since you have an injury that prevents you from standing in long lines. Go early and hit popular rides first, take advantage of FP, take your time and enjoy the little details and joys of DL. Play attractions where you can sit down (Captsin EO, innoventions, Golden Corral Show (kids love it and you can dine during the show, Great Momements with Mr Lincoln, Complete loop on train (Lilly Belle), even POC or ISW are nice sit breaks). Enjoy the magic! - NikkiMickey

Will they give me a pass for this situation? Because with a pass I may not necessarily need a chair. When in between attractions we can easily find places to stop and rest if I need, but in line you are kind of stuck standing up. - ccfam8785 215.5 #1407 9:24AM
Yes you can get a GAC for any condition/ disability that prevents you from waiting in the regular line. Just ask at City Hall. Have a great trip! - NikkiMickey 1583.6 #48 10:16AM
One trip in December we rent a ECV for my mom from Disney for 1 day, it ran out of energy, CM called and they brought another to us at Nemo.
We talked to another lady in a scooter who was at Disney for 5 days and she rented from a medical company which brought it to the hotel and will pick it up the day they leaving town. She was very happy with this option because you can take it off Disney property, ride to and from park. Her daily expense was less than a day rental at Disneyland. This option would have worked better for my mom cause hotel walk was tiring.
If we go again I will probably research Anaheim medical equipment. - MaheaLuvsDisney

Thank you guys! This stinks, I wish I knew the best solution. I can walk around fine, I'm just worried about the continuous standing and we are bringing two small kids so we will have a stroller and hubby can't push the stroller and a wheelchair at once. Thanks so much again for the info! - ccfam8785
