How far away does everybody live from Disney? My sister-in-law is a huge Disney fan (she introduced me to MW) she lives 5 hours away & she told me that I'm so lucky to live 30 mins away, if she would live that close she'd end up going to Disneyland everybday. I believe her, so now my love & I go as often as we could. I know that people from around the world make it to Disneyland and I was wondering where everyone here is from? I have so much respect & appreciation for everyone who loves to go to Disney.

Well, MW says I'm currently 5691775 ft from Jolly Holiday Bakery!! A little too far to visit very often - I'm hoping to make it back to DL in 2 years :) in the meantime, I have all of you "regulars" to give me my daily Disney fix!! - AbbyDLfriend  233.2 #1470 11:58PM

So lucky!!! I'd love to move that close to Disney, but I really love my home! The LA area is great, so many things around but Disney is the best! - gigibunny2  242.8 #1353 11:33PM

I used to have to fly to SD then drive up to Anaheim just to go to disneyland, so I don't complain that I live a little over and hour away :) - PrincessMacy  536.5 #343 11:28PM

Me, too!!! Are you in Colorado, by chance? My daughter was just bemoaning the fact that we are so far away. We drove those 19 Hours last year but flew this year. I love road trips and I'm scared to fly, but it was nice getting there so quickly! - PeachKay  311.1 #765 8:14AM
No- WA State :o) 18-19 hours straight down I-5... seriously long road trip but we've done it a few times :o) Flying is MUCH faster obviously and the past few years have been pretty cost effective since carriers like Alaska Airlines have multiple daily flights to LAX or SNA :o) - HadMatter  400.2 #509 2:00PM

I live about 34 miles or 181,398 feet from the Mickey and Friends parking structure. It takes us about 40 minutes to get there. I do envy HanAndLeia on their distance from the parks. No wonder we see them so much! Lol! As long as you enjoy your visit, the distance travelled doesn't seem to matter as much. Have fun! - grumpypapa  2908.8 #40 9:17AM
I agree! ☺ - gigibunny2  242.8 #1353 8:33PM
I live in Paradise Pier City where the grass is green and the LBChicas are pretty. - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1113.3 #139 9:21AM
Less then a 10 minute drive, 30 minute ride on my board (but then you got to rent a locker), 45 minute walk (which sucks after a long day at the park, to have to walk home at night). - ATankNamedFrank  317.8 #735 10:30AM
I'm very fortunate to have always lived close by. I don't take it for granted although I wish I could more often. - ATankNamedFrank  317.8 #735 10:31AM

885 miles or 14 hours and 36 loooong minutes!! Eugene OR... Go Ducks :) I grew up 2 hours farther away in Portland OR. I also had friends with family in california and heard stories like "oh my family has passes for the whole year and they go all the time." I remember thinking that the one time I got to go to Disney during my childhood was a dream come true for me, and that those kids that can go all the time were soooooooooo lucky!! I never realized it could be so much of a part of people's lives! - jalensmommy  150.3 #2596 11:37PM

We live about 9-10 hours away, depending on traffic, in Utah. Growing up, we were only able to make it to Disneyland every few years, but now that I'm married, it's pretty easy for my hubby and I to pack us and our daughter up and go. Next week will be our 3rd time in 3 years (technically 4 times if you want to count 1 trip to WDW). We want to make it a tradition to go at least once a year. This trip will actually be our 2nd in 6 months! - minniemommy  7.2 #12229 11:43PM
Those are great traditions. I wis I had parents with those traditions growing up. My parents only took me to DL once - gigibunny2  242.8 #1353 12:09AM

Disneyland unFORECAST (BETA) is here! Top MouseWaiters giving you the rundown of what's happening at the Disneyland Resort. The unFORECAST now has its own page on the web www.unFORECAST.com

unForecast for week of Monday, March 9, 2015:

Park Hours: DL: 9am-10pm (Monday-Thursday), 8am-12am (Friday-Sunday). DCA: 9am-9pm (Monday-Thursday), 8am-10pm (Friday-Sunday).

Taste Pilots Grill in DCA will reopen as Smokejumpers Grill on March 13 as apart of the new-themed area, Grizzly Air Field.

Attraction Closures: Critter Country (opens 4/3), Fortuosity Jewelry Shop (opens 3/13), Magic Eye Theater (TBD), Matterhorn (opens 5/16), Peter Pan (opens 5/8), Snow White Grotto (opens 5/1), Starcade (TBD), Soarin over California (opens 5/15), Grizzly River Run (opens 3/20), Luigi's Flying Tires (2016), World of Color (TBD).

unForecast Crowd Prediction: This week is the unofficial start of the Spring Break crowds, so expect the parks to be a little more crowded than normal. Also with only one showing of Fantasmic during the week, expect FPs for the show to go quickly along with it being crowded around the Rivers of America close to showtime. Throughout the week, expect CIs to be in the high 60s to low 80s for Disneyland Park and in the low 70s to low 80s for DCA.

Have a great week!
