We're planning a trip to DL for this fall, I was considering getting the California city pass, but I'm not sure if Universal Studios and Sea World are all that great to take up my DL time! I haven't been to either one, just DL. I'm curious to experience them, but want as much time at DL as possible! Lol what do u guys think?
Well, if you've never experienced them, you might as well try it out once. How long are you staying in town? - tina

Haven't decided yet, we usually go 4-6 days at DL. - TheLittlemermaidrox

It's up to you. Personally, I would go to the others just to experience them at least once. Who knows, you may have just as much fun there as well! - tina

Thank you. I just was afraid of getting dissappointed. Should I spend a day at US, and a day at SW? Should I lodge in LA, SD, and then Anaheim, or just Anaheim the whole time? - TheLittlemermaidrox

If you are going to spend the day at sea world you might want to consider staying in SD since its a 1.5 hour drive to Anaheim - treegardner

Check out the hours of operation of the parks when you plan to go. Say SeaWorld is 10-6, you have plenty of time to get to Anaheim so you can be there first thing in the morning the next day. - Jessica

I bought a city pass a few years back. It was a good value. We did a 6 or 7 day trip. 2 days in San Diego for Sea World and the Zoo. Then we drove up to LA/Anaheim and hit Universal that day. We closed out at Disneyland. It was a fun trip. But for a few bucks more per person you could get an AP for Disneyland. Just a thought. - BlueberryCrusader

Oh ya I was wondering about that? If I get the city pass and it comes with a 3 day park hopper, can I upgrade that to an annual pass in the park? Maybe well do 2 days in San Diego, sea world & zoo, 3 days at DL, and 2 days in LA, at universal and Hollywood - TheLittlemermaidrox

That sounds like a good plan! I don't think sea worlds all that great but definitely check out universal And Hollywood and might as well upgrade to an AP so if u do come back in sense it'll be free - LittleMermaid

I thought the same thing when I got it a few years ago. But sea world was slot of fun. If you love animals you'll be happy bc you get to touch and feel dolphins!! I will never go back to Universal Ca again though, had a horrible experiences with there employees. - Fauna

Tip: Get SoCal Citypasses at Costco. They're a little cheaper there. - NikkiMickey

I've done the Citipasses twice. The whole family loved all the parks/ zoo. We stayed in San Diego for the parks/ zoo there. We enjoyed the passes over 10 days and had some time exploring the area between parks. - NikkiMickey

Uni and SeaWorld are so different from Disney you can't even compare. I love Uni, it's a bit small but they have great attractions like the Tram Tour, Jurassic Park, and T2 3D. If you're into thrills, there is the Mummy. SeaWorld is a beautiful park - very clean and lots to do! Enjoy both, they are worth it. - ThemeParkAdventure
