Had to share a story about an amazing CM experience I had.
Let me preface this by saying that I've worked in customer service for 10 years and now am the assistant manager of a children's salon in the Inland Empire. So I'm very picky about MY customer service.
It was Christmas time and I was at World of Disney with my friend. I was there to purchase a Disney gift card and a pin for my brother and his girlfriend. My brother lives in Mexico and hasn't been to Disneyland in at least a decade. His girlfriend was raised in Mexico but goes to school in Germany (she's American born- but lived in MX her whole life. Her parents are missionaries) His girlfriend had never been to the states and certainly never to Disneyland. But they were coming for Christmas so I bought them each a park hopper ticket and wanted to get something special to wrap up with their tickets when I gave it to them.
So we went to World of Disney- which was an absolute zoo. People were cranky, the lines were long, the store was crowded. Even I was starting to get irritated. I know the poor CM that work in retail had to have been getting tired, too. It's overwhelming. So I get to the front to pay and ask this incredibly chipper CM if I could buy a Disney giftcard there. She said I could but also recommended Disney Dollars- as they looked like real money and were a little more fun than just a gift card. I told her that I was buying it for my brother and his girlfriend who spoke German, Spanish and English. So, the CM, after making me laugh and kindly laughing at my lame German joke, starts counting out my Disney dollars in German! She was entertaining and so kind. It for sure made my day. After she left, I asked to speak with a supervisor to highly compliment her customer service. They let me write her a little note and they said they would thank her appropriately.
It's people like that who really reflect the business model and ethics that Disney intends. It was the best customer service I've ever received in my life and I'll certainly never forget it.
My brother and his girlfriend had an amazing time at the parks and spent their Disney dollars. ;)
Thank you for sharing, this makes me love Disneyland and the people there even more. I'm happy your family had a great time. - BelleLuver

Thank you. I'm a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due. Especially since I'm a position now to listen to peoples' complaints all day long. ;) She was spectacular. I really do hope they let her know how much I appreciated her. I also hope that she was given the credit. I believe in positive reinforcement to your staff. - sarahbeth 5.7 #9386 10:58AM
Glad to hear these kind of stories! Us CMs are there to make our guests' day. That's why we chose to work at the Happiest Place on Earth :) - BaseballMickey_CM

I know that people have since deleted them- however, I feel it necessary to request that people keep their unkind comments to themselves and not on this post, please. Thanks. - sarahbeth
