Hi everyone!
I have a question concerning disneyland in the rain! this might be, weird to some, but I really want to know, so please give me any info you can on this subject!
okay, when we have gone in the rain before we wear our rain parkas, with a rain hood or hat. no matter what though, our feet always get wet! then we have to leave pretty quick as I have an autoimmune disease and have to try to not get sick. and my rain boots are hard to walk in. I can bring extra socks but my shoes are still wet! Soooooo.. ...... how do you keep your feet dry? we might go this week or the next time it rains so this would really help! Thanks!
You can get one of those rain suits where the pants and boots are all one thing. It usually is attached with suspenders as well. Put a jacket on as well, and your tootsies stay nice an dry. I can't comment on comfort level, though. - Slotherini

Plastic bags over your feet? Or maybe put on socks and then wrap your feet in a plastic bag? - Nicole

I used to do this when I'd run in the rain. Cut a plastic grocery bag in half and put over the sock. Kept my feet completely dry even when the rain soaked my shoes. - Bo22 331.1 #465 2:34AM
I recommend any waterproof shoe or boot. Even a short chuka type hiking boot that is waterproof. Also you can waterproof shoes and boots, like Uggs. Extra socks are good, but if your shoes leak no bueno. Take it from a former Marine we know how to take care of our feet. - splashphotoCM

Rain boots are the only way for me. Mine are really comfortable. You should try on some Sperry Top Sider!! - caramiapoohAKAface

Unfortunately no one can stop the rain and keep shoes bone dry while walking through water (aka rain puddles) If you are planing specifically to go to the parks while it's raining I'd agree ^^^. Wearing rain boots is the best way to go. The trade off? Shorter lines so you can go on more attractions and do more things so the time you sit and cool off your feet won't matter too much. - Donaldfan_532

I wear the keen water sandles so the water runs through the shoe but my feet dry off. This may not work for you. - Plumiegirl

Definetely get different rain boots and try wool socks. They'll stay warm even if they get wet so it won't be so bad until you can swap them. - supertracy

When I was there today in the rain I wore long socks, leggings over that, skinny jeans, another pair of socks and then tall boots. My feet stayed dry. 😄 - Vegan7LuvsStitch

I think a new pair of rain boots is the way to go. I am immuno compromised too. I use waterproof hiking boots that are super comfortable and survived three days of hiking Haleakala! I also use a golf rainsuit that can take the Sea World splash zone. I love DL in the rain. We were SO close to driving up today. - mojohito

They sell waterproof socks on amazon that will keep your feet dry. But your shoes will still be wet. - DLandFan2012

I wear my Salomon trail running shoes that are made with Gore-Tex (waterproof). Comfy, warm and dry. When it's really really raining, XtraTuf boots are great. Feet stay totally dry walking through deep puddles, and they are super comfy (I actually wished it rained more so I could wear them without looking dumb, lol). - ArchaeoMouse

I have a pair of boots I ordered from LL Bean. They're very good to walk in all day but keep your feet warm and dry. They're stylish too. My husband had a pair as well but he wore his out. Also REI sells these amazing wool socks that my husband swears by. He's got heal and ankle issues after a bad break after a rock climbing accident so he as to be picky or he can't walk at all. Getting a good boot and socks is really key. You can't cheap out unfortunately. - Autoalice

I'm a big fan of LL Beans Duck Boots. Being a farm girl growing up on the East Coast...nothing beat my Ducks out in the barn on cold, wet days. They also have great traction so you don't slide all over the place. - Ladystrac

I wear my keens. My feet get wet but they dry really fast too. Then I keep socks for when I need to get warm. - mousekepuggie

Pick up your feet. I see people all the time drag their feet and walk in puddles. If you walk like that snobby person who you hated when you were little your feet will be dry dry dry. - maxinerenton

You just have to think like: "Oh dear my poor poor feet darling, they musant get wet darling. Oh No No No my poor little feetsies, hurry darling I must keep them dry." - maxinerenton 415.1 #310 8:20AM
I have waterproof Merrell boots--$180 but since I live in an area that gets rain, wind, ice and snow, they've been a GREAT investment. I wear them all the time, (they're just classic black leather boots--not too clunky, so I can wear them to work) and my feet stay dry. - Spoonful_O_Sugar

I wore a snow jacket and pants (sometimes, mine are bulky so I don't like wearing them unless I'm snowboarding) a good hood on my snow jacket and I'm good! Don't wear jeans, they get wet quickly and don't dry fast. I wore Cotten leggings but sweats or anything that can dry quickly if need to. Take extra pair of pants. I invested in croc boots and they are soooo perfect for rainy days, I heard work boots work well too. Pancho if it really pours down, but other than that I really don't use it. - MarshaMouse 2834.6 #15 5:48PM
thanks everyone for all the great information. i think we might still have a few rainy days ahead so i am going to get all ready and spend a day at DL in the rain!! - secretagentangel

Hopefully all the tips other MWers wrote helped you. Have a fun time (: There's nothing worse than being sick and being out in the rain.. - Jacqueline 546.7 #204 8:14AM
I am a lineman and spend days in the rain. Find a comfortable pair of boots at least 6 in. high with a high quality waterproof liner that breathes. Wear good quality hiking socks. Wear a pair of waterproof pants and roll up your regular pants above the top of your boots. If your ankles get cold you can also wear a pair of insulated and waterproof gators. - Mr.Mousefamily

The Croc boots are really lightweight and not awkward to walk in. Try those. Or try the mid calf or ankle rainboots - ScarfGirl
