I'm super excited for spring break this year for two reasons. #1 I'll be coming home to California, and #2 I'm bringing 4 international students with me who have never been to Disneyland. The problem is, we only have one day to spend at the resort. So, my question for all you is how do we decided what to do? Unless you have an empty park (wishful thinking), it's impossible fit everything in in one day. So spill, if you only had one day at the resort what ( or where) would you spend your time.

Stay in DL. I think most international folks will want to see the original park. (Nothing wrong with DCA) Start on Main Street and make your way through all of the lands. Get fast passes for what you can while visiting each land. Be sure to get a churro a dole whip and try having dinner at Plaza Inn so you can take in the parade. Make sure you take a break and enjoy Fantasmic. Ride the train to whatever land you didn't visit or if you're lucky, to go back to the lands with your favorite attractions. If you can go during the week, go then. Be sure to pick them up a 1st Visit Button, which are in City Hall, and grab a couple of park maps in the language of their county. Those are in a stand by Holly Jolly Bakery by the wait time board. A nice little soveniour for them. And most of all, have fun!! 😃😃 - DisneyFanZoe  1096.7 #75 4:00PM
This. Most definitely! Don't run them ragged collecting FPs, it's great to be able to do everything but it's definitely best to create a quality, lasting trip that they will enjoy! And don't forget Small World, I think a group of international students would appreciate this ride a lot! - cynDOLEwhip  744.1 #137 4:05PM
That's sort of what I was thinking. I told them all to think of 1 thing that they absolutely want to see so I can plan things out. Show wise i think WOC allows you to do more, because you don't have to be there so early. - MontanaMouse  300.0 #612 4:22PM
I totally agree! - DznyFan4ever  371.8 #372 11:36AM
One of them said they would like to see a character from The Lion King. Does anyone know if Rafiki is out frequently? Or is the parade the only opportunity for this? Other wise they might just have to settle for @SueBayou in her hat. - MontanaMouse  300.0 #612 11:22PM
I have seen rafiki quite a bit in the last year, but to be sure, ask at city hall or one of the character hosts. He may be at the plaza inn for breakfast, FYI. - bluefairy  627.1 #174 1:51AM
You know, I've never done the plaza for breakfast. Do you need reservations or is it something you can just show up for? - MontanaMouse  300.0 #612 10:42AM
Reservations are recommended, but I've never had a problem getting one, even calling the day before. - bluefairy  627.1 #174 12:01AM
My wife and I usually do a lot of running around from end to end/ park to park and grabbing fast passes like crazy. It's not for everyone, but we always fit in 12 rides and our favorite shows in one day before driving back to San Diego. - mojohito  239.8 #1116 5:01AM
P.S. We recently did it with a couple who had never been to DL with a crowd index of 82 on a Sunday with dinner at Club 33 and WOC and didn't stay till closing because everyone had to work the next day. They had a blast because they are just like us. - mojohito  239.8 #1116 6:38AM
Mojohito, how do you get so many fp?? I am from San Diego too, and we like to get the most out of our drives up there ha ha ha I've never been able to master the art of collecting fp with the different return times. Please teach me!! :0) - 619HeatherMouse  221.6 #1337 11:30AM
......where in San Diego are you? We are in IB - 619HeatherMouse  221.6 #1337 11:31AM
The other question is do we even attempt DCA? If it wasnt for WOC I would say no, just because it takes so long to get from park to park. - MontanaMouse  300.0 #612 3:57PM
Focus on Dland. - MelodyMouse  941.8 #92 3:59PM
A couple CM friends of mine will be signing them in, something I am incredibly grateful for. - MontanaMouse  300.0 #612 4:27PM
I suggest getting a FP for Star Tours or Space ride Indy first and work your way around the park clockwise. - JenInWonderland  1025.1 #86 4:01PM
You should go up to the Coty Hall and ask for 1st Visit buttons :) Go clockwise from Adventureland all the way to Tomorrowland - dizneypianist  31.8 #4286 2:08AM
