It's on the news tonight about how Disney is starting to crack down on using the fastpasses correctly. How does everyone feel about the new change? :)
I find it funny that people are actually upset or mad about it. it says on the fp itself when to return. it's a disney rule. everyone wants newbs to come in here and follow the rules so why be upset when disney asks you to follow their rules. - mochamistie

I kinda didn't know you could return anytime after the given time until I learned it on MW so it won't make a difference to my park experience. - cesium55
529.7 #216 6:43PM
I don't like it. Nope, I don't like it at all. - splashphotoCM
880.9 #101 6:44PM
That's what they do at WDW. Boring! - splashphotoCM 880.9 #101 6:45PM
I don't like it either!! Hubs and I would collect fp's in the morning, go home and chill, and come back to ride in the evening. - CMshelleybee 428.1 #294 6:49PM
Most attractions will be cool with it I think. But those CM's at Star Tours are stinkers. I think they started this. lol - splashphotoCM 880.9 #101 6:51PM
YES!! We returned two minutes before our return time, and they said we had to wait. I was like c'mon guys. Don't be meanie pants!! - CMshelleybee 428.1 #294 6:56PM
They are Storm Troopers out of uniform. - splashphotoCM 880.9 #101 7:03PM
I think this all has to do with the opening of Carsland. It will be a mess for the first few months. Imagine TSM, Star Tours and POTC during the holidays or Leap Day. - splashphotoCM 880.9 #101 9:26PM
I actually think it's only fair. Granted I enjoyed going back whenever but i do believe that's the most fair approach. - NurseJennJillO
307.5 #573 6:58PM
That's how I feel, too. We were so excited to learn about the loophole a few years ago; however, it's only fair to enforce the time window printed on the tickets, lol. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.2 #285 8:53PM
What If That Ride Is Down For The Whole Hour You Have That FP For? - Blaine951
243.2 #1072 9:00PM
I asked for opinions only guys, so no being mean :) - CMshelleybee
428.1 #294 9:33PM
My opinion: it's something that Disney should've done from the beginning of FP's, but I don't like that they're changing it on us after 13 years - dlmickeymouseCM 2350.4 #27 9:36PM
sometimes i cannot stand that long so we would collect the fast passes to use in our own time so i could still go on a few rides so this will mess that up for me. but hey, if i can go to disneyland, i can figure out how to do anything!! probably will just not be able to go as much but hello, i feel guilty for whining when there are a lot of people who can only go once a year so i will shut up and be happy with all we do have.. - secretagentangel
669.5 #154 6:58PM
Beautiful way of looking at it :) - CMshelleybee 428.1 #294 7:05PM
See, that's just it. We only can go once a year at most. Fast passes seem like a good way to not miss anything. When you are short on time, that's a good thing. - PeachKay 310.6 #556 8:24AM
Its a good idea, but NOT FAIR, say someone gets stuck in line and misses their return times, ohh sorry cant ride, so they waste that time not being able to get another one...its not gonna go down well. Bad idea Disney - NeverlandClub
314.5 #543 7:00PM
Disney is working on ways to accommodate those issues - dlmickeymouseCM 2350.4 #27 9:34PM
Just keep in mind that not enforcing the time window was a privilege for us for a long time--it's not something we're entitled to. As JenJillO stated, it's absolutely fair to enforce the window that they print on the ticket, lol. Do I like it? Not really, but of course it's fair of them to enforce their own guidelines :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar
436.2 #285 8:56PM
It honestly doesn't bother me. I always made sure I came back when I was suppose to. It's not really a fast pass if 100 people are in line at 5:30 pm, with passes from the morning. - DisneyFanZoe
1096.7 #75 9:30PM
Follow the rules?!? That's absurd! - John
312.0 #548 9:32PM
Wait... I thought it was just at WDW? are they doing it here too?!? - Jaytasmic
373.3 #367 6:56PM
Not yet iPoc but soon!! :( - CMshelleybee 428.1 #294 7:06PM
I rely on fast passes way too much D; hahaha. I usually always save the biggest rides for last with a fastpass. like TOT I wait to use it until it's dark because I love riding it at night! - Jaytasmic 373.3 #367 11:58PM
Really bummed about! Kind of takes away your freedom to do what you want when you want to. - ilovemickey8
321.6 #514 9:30PM
I never used them outside the time limits. So it won't bother me. - mekomann
5.1 #10397 9:33PM
To solve this problem how about your ticket only get you one fast pass per attraction for example if you get a fp for space mountain you cant get another one for the same attraction untill the next day. Just a thought - puddy77
83.7 #3228 9:39PM
If it makes for a better park experience for everyone, then bring it on! - MelodyMouse

I don't like it. It's going to mess with the use of my time. - Gabster1
200.0 #1632 6:53PM
They just enforced that today at WDW! Won't be too long until we're next! :( - iPoca.
905.7 #96 6:55PM
A lot of people doesn't know about this. Now they all know because its in the news. APs gets the worst of this. So, I don't like it.
- ItzDreezy
4.1 #13275 6:56PM
Me no likey. If I get stuck in a line/on a ride elsewhere, decide to go eat dinner somewhere, or decide to catch a parade/fireworks/Fantasmic! at the time my FP was given to me, I shouldn't have to toss the FP. - flukefan
266.4 #860 6:57PM
I do t like it at all. Has it really messed things up to have people come back anytime after the time posted? I mean they only give out so many a day right? This totally ruins our strategy. We collect in the morning. Go back to the hotel for a pool break then use our passes in the evening. I am so bummed. - Eraf61
264.6 #872 6:58PM
Do not like it at all. Silly phone. - Eraf61
264.6 #872 6:59PM
Another KTLA fan and ya I don't like it at all - HanLostLeia
1092.6 #76 9:01PM
Wow. Really? The time is put on them for a reason. If you didn't know it was okay, you would have gone back at the appointed time. Before you knew, if missed the time, you just tossed the fast pass and got on with life. That is what is going to happen now. - SorcererBHhaha
408.5 #318 9:23PM
And that was how it is suppose to work. Not like some special priviledge, but as a bonus for AP holders and multi day pass holders, if I'm not mistaken. - SorcererBHhaha 408.5 #318 9:30PM
I totally get why they are going to enforce it. I hate going back to ride things after the fireworks and all of a sudden there's a huge fastpass return line. Still a bummer, though. - LaneSparrow316
846.9 #108 9:26PM
As of right now it's only enforced at WDW, but as soon as they test it and decide which rides can be a little more lenient than others, it's coming to DL! Will definitely be here before June 15th. - dlmickeymouseCM
2350.4 #27 9:32PM
On one hand, I don't like it. It messes with my groove..i never go early but I often go after the hour window. But it is a fairer way to use the fast passes. I guess I'll adapt when DL starts enforcing the times. - VeloMouseGirl
549.7 #202 9:34PM
I saw that too! I liked that you could use them anytime after so it's a bit of a bummer. - LillyBelle
77.1 #3319 10:24PM
I often get more than one fp for a ride so that my party can all go together at a decent time when they arrive. I still have to wait two hours between fp and I sacrifice getting one for a different ride, but obviously the times don't match up. Sucks cuz now by the time everyone else gets there, our fp time will probably be too late. 😏 plus, there are plenty of extenuating circumstances that could make someone late for their window. - bluefairy
627.1 #174 11:11PM
It won't last long. People will complain. - lovetheland7
139.1 #2458 11:25PM
I can't tell you how many we threw out because we couldn't make it in the 1 hour window before we found out you could use it the rest of the night! Or our window was approaching and we'd have to do the full tilt run with little kids in tow, screaming about why we could not go on the things we were passing in order to get back to the attraction from where ever we were at hours later. We'd arrive breathless handing over the passes to finally ride something we'd been looking forward to half the day. Or we'd find ourself wandering with nothing to do as the hour approached with no time for another attraction in the area but too long before the window opened. No, I do not like this hchange :( - Autoalice
135.7 #2508 11:28PM
Agree! Maybe they need to consider increasing the window. A lot of times I will collect them as we go and come back when we loop around again. It's not like I intentionally wait till 10pm to use fp from 8am. This idea of running across the park all day does not appeal to me. Plus, what about dca being on a separate system? You could be running back and forth between carsland and tomorrowland in the same hour. - bluefairy 627.1 #174 11:43PM
I don't like it. Before I knew you could come back anytime after, Space Mountain would be closed down, and I'd miss the hour window. I was a sad puppy. I don't want to be a sad puppy. I want to be a happy puppy. - LaTruce
1643.8 #45 11:30PM
I did not know till like couple months ago it could be used anytime. I felt jipped. But ehhh i see it this way. If the lines too long i dont get on that ride. - ScarfGirl
551.6 #199 11:36PM
I'm a season pass holder so if a ride is super busy, I'll just rife other rides and if it's still busy by then end of the day, I'll just ride it next time. I havent used a fast pass in a long time haha - JoeDownTheRabbitHole
395.9 #337 11:42PM
season pass?!? or annual pass? ;)hahaha - Jaytasmic 373.3 #367 11:57PM
Annual pass. Ugh see I haven't been in a while and I forget what it's called! Hahah - JoeDownTheRabbitHole 395.9 #337 12:10AM
I have annual tickets for the Angels. JK Joe, know what you meant. lol - splashphotoCM 880.9 #101 12:15AM
Hahaha it's late, my brain is shutting down haha - JoeDownTheRabbitHole 395.9 #337 12:26AM
I don't like it at all - Bambi.
595.2 #184 11:46PM
Its a big bummer for me. I get go to DL maybe twice a year. Now instead if liesurely going about my day Im going to have exact time restrictions. Very bummed. - PirateEngagement
132.6 #2550 12:14AM
I always use my fastpass in the allotted time anyhow! Won't bother me! - SassyKittyMeow
358.1 #395 12:23AM
Another idea is maybe pass holders or general guest should be limited to maybe 5 a day or maybe people thay can visit any time reach a certain number of visits cant get any. I just find it hard as an international tourist that most fast pass machines are maxed out and we can only go for a very short time of the year if at all - puddy77
83.7 #3228 12:25AM
But lets all face it only disney has fp and it works relativity well or you can go to knotts, seaworld or legoland and relize how good a fp really is - puddy77
83.7 #3228 12:29AM
I think this will be hardest for people with little children. My daughter is good about standing in line and all but if the ride breaks during our FP time and we have to throw away the tickets and try again , she won't be so understanding. I see alot of tears for parents in the park. Plus when it is busy and you have children you kind of rely on the FP to help with the wait and kids. Hopefully there will be some lenancy.😃 - PrincessAuroraMomma
393.1 #340 8:01AM
That is terrible. We usually stock up FPs throughout the day and then go hog wild no little to no wait in the afternoon/evenings. - icephoenix25
234.8 #1171 8:14AM
I've only experienced fast passes one time and we went by the times on the ticket. I figured there was a good reason...to make things fair and to avoid long waits. It worked for us. If people are saving them, then doesn't that make for long lines all the time? I assume they have a "system" with regards to timing and number of passes distributed. Once I found out (on another forum) that Disneyland was lenient, I started thinking ahead to this trip. I was thinking it would be nice not to have to rush. Now I see that people actually "hoard" them. :) Anyway, I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but I think enforcing the times is a good thing. Granted, I don't want them to get all militant for five or ten minutes, but Disneyland is about everyone. :) - PeachKay
310.6 #556 8:22AM
Definitely not crazy about it! Enjoyed using the FPs throughout the day outside time frame! - Willierose
1190.4 #68 8:24AM
I have enjoyed using it outside the time... Don't get me wrong I understand why they are enforcing it, the fastpass lines at the end of the night are ridiculous... It just stinks when you are in line somewhere else and can't make your time or if you new to leave the park for one reason or another which I've had to do many times - Tink
111.0 #2888 10:31AM
It's fine with me. I tend to get the most out of my time at the parks when I have some sort of a schedule. - MariBeee
