LIVE***Ducklings!!!

Looks like this is the first baby ducks at Disneyland this year!!! Make sure you guys help protect them from children and adults alike that think its funny to chase them or try and pick them up..I always follow them and guard them from other guests until they get back to the water and under the fece where they can be protected - Dave  8630.6 #2 3:41PM
Amen to this. I get so angry when I see guests trying to touch them! Or when I see them paddling around trash in the water. - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #106 3:44PM

I get freaked out because they people don't pay attention and its very easy to step on and kill one of these poor little guys..please do what you can when you see them out in the parks and help them if you can..Even though they are tasty I am quite fond of them - Dave   8630.6 #2 3:49PM
For sure!! After we got off the Jungle Cruise on Leap Day, there was a duck walking around and some guests were chasing it and it was so sad. Someone found a CM and they picked it up and brought it back to the water. It was sad for the poor little duck!!! - caramiapoohAKAface  1436.8 #54 3:49PM
I think I wanna hug Dave! I luv Ducks. - donnievegas  1127.5 #72 3:50PM
Under the fece? πŸ’©? - Waites4DodgerEars  659.1 #156 3:51PM
Even though he eats them??? Lol - PinkElephants  632.9 #168 3:51PM
Thanks for saying this Dave. I get so upset when I see this. Speacily when An adults is doing it. - Bambi.  595.0 #183 3:52PM
@Caramia - I'm so glad those people found a CM! Animals are so helpless, we gotta protect 'em! Yes, I eat them, but still.... - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #106 3:52PM
There were some at BTMRR a few weeks ago. :) Love ducky season at DL. - flukefan  266.4 #858 3:53PM
I let people know that ducks are protected under federal law as a migratory species (even if they claim Disneyland as their home). Antagonizing them in anyway is a federal offense. Technically so is feeding them since popcorn, churros and the like can destroy their sensitive metabolic system. - Gia  782.1 #118 3:58PM
Yes some people can be mean, also some children can be too! - LizOβ„’  470.0 #257 4:01PM
Uh oh...Dave made me feel warm and fuzzy inside from this comment. - NeverlandTink  421.4 #303 4:02PM
Yes please don't feed the duckies. Unless you have Snails, worms, weeds/grass and fuirt. Please don't feed them. - Bambi.  595.0 #183 4:08PM
I just love sitting by the water watching them. Over by Matterhorn (sadly its a smoking section now) or anywhere in ROA. I always feel bad when I see others chasing them or boats coming at them. - NeverlandTink  421.4 #303 4:15PM
NeverlandTink - You can watch them from the old boat dock in Fantasyland. It's behind where the villains do their meet and greet during Halloween. You can't smell the smoking section and there are always duckies over there! - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #106 4:26PM
You can also see them by hungry bear. - Bambi.  595.0 #183 4:30PM
Dave, how do we protect them in the water from flying swords? - Villescas8(V8)  589.1 #184 4:55PM
I saw some bratty kid chasing two ducks in Frontierland the other day. Wanted to slap the kid... - theRealDisneygirlforevr  175.3 #1917 6:43PM
I will now be a proud protector of the ducks and ducklings. - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #202 6:45PM
Love this.. can't protect the ducks at DL enough. On Leap Day morning while waiting to go to TS Island, I saw a family feeding the ducks Fritos chips. Yes, Fritos chips! Our food can make these ducks very sick.. please be careful everyone (: - Jacqueline  546.7 #204 7:04PM
Mess with the ducks, you get shanked. - Evilstitch  328.3 #479 7:26PM
This!πŸ‘† - Gia  782.1 #118 7:35PM
i was waiting for WoC and some lady was feeding them popcorn... ughh.. - DonaldMissingPants  296.2 #630 8:09PM
I love the Disneyland Ducklings! Last year I saw a Mama and all her babies get escorted by Security down Main St to the ROA. It was awesome! - Mrsblue  692.4 #143 11:39PM
A few years ago I saw one get separated from its mom over by the Storybook Land canals. He did make it back but almost got stepped on a few times. I was tempted to grab him to help him back, but wouldn't have been able to. Poor ducklings :( - PonyGrrl  262.4 #890 12:09AM
The other day, a CM told me there's another CM known as the duck whisperer. He's named all if them and they come to him when he calls. So awesome. I'd love to meet him some day. - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #202 11:37PM
They know where the happiest place on earth is - marinepuma  226.6 #1285 5:31PM
I heard that it's bad to feed ducks, even bread though I know its popular. I used to take mads to feed ducks at a local park with bread until I heard it expands in their stomach or something. But i also heard corn is the best thing to feed them, although I'm not sure about that either. Probably best not to feed them. - madsdad  1119.6 #73 7:56PM
Cute!!! - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #202 3:39PM
Theyre so cute. This pic reminds me of when I was a little girl. I use to have tones of duckie and other animals. Thank you😊 - Bambi.  595.0 #183 3:42PM
Gah!!!! I've been waiting to see them!!!! Thank you so much for posting, I love the Disneyland Ducklings! I hope SIC sees this! - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #106 3:43PM

Yay!!! Thank you so much for posting these little guys. I was wondering when they would show. I also solemly swear to protect them at all cost - MsDisneyLove  168.2 #2026 4:03PM
These ducklings were all very safe...in the moat by the Snow White Wishing Well...as u can see, they were with a mating pair, but there was a lone male who kept challenging the male...nature's way. We counted 13 ducklings! - gooball5  265.8 #862 4:04PM
We were in Tenessee last year and these little ducks were separated from there mom. They had gone down a waterfall and mom was on top. Brad tried for hours to get the ducks. We wernt able to catch them. So we fed them and then an older guy came by and said they would be fine it happens every year. We went by the next morning and all ducklings were with there mommy! The kids were so happy!! We LOVE duckies!! - Minnis2Society  360.0 #388 4:06PM
I saw some crossing a busy street with their mom one day on the way to work. I FREAKED out but I couldn't stop without someone hitting me so I swerved and missed them and watched in the rearview mirror to make sure they made it across the street and THEY DID! I kid you not, I started crying. LOL - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #106 5:37PM
Yes. Little ducklings can make one very emotional. We were all so sad to leave them struggling in the water! Baby animals tug on the heart strings. - Minnis2Society  360.0 #388 6:47PM
Oh my gosh so adorable!! - ILoveMySickBoys  286.6 #687 4:16PM
The problem is also the crows. They grab them like nothing. When I worked at storybook land when we would see a crow by them we would throw things at the crow. Highlighters, pens, etc. - GoofyCC  8.7 #7208 4:19PM
So cute...the babies are so tiny and fuzzy...my parents raised a few ducks who's mama got killed, got them hatched and gave them a chance to survive. Never caged them so that if they wanted to fly free they could...they never did leave. I love seeing the ducks at DL but would never try and touch them. Cute picture by the way :) - cdeley  391.8 #341 4:24PM
Aw. They scare me when they swim behind the rafts at the dock. So precious. - happiestplace  44.0 #3876 4:24PM
How sweet! I'll be looking out for them this weekend :). - michelIe  422.1 #301 4:39PM
Awwww BABIES!!!! Sooo cuteπŸ’— - MicheyMouse  264.4 #874 4:53PM
YAY!! Just showed this to my mom and she is so excited that the ducklings are here. It's her favorite time of the year for her...even more than Christmas! Guess we're going to Disneyland tomorrow to see them and gauk at all their cuteness!! - dsnylvr22  24.4 #4685 5:30PM
I been waiting to see ducklings at the parks :) thanks for sharing this - lilo84  374.5 #365 6:41PM

aaaaawwwww - croonin_momom  10.0 #6768 7:12PM
Disneyland has the greatest ducks. ..Saw some babies swimming around across from BTM yesterday. The wife and I never past up a chance feed them some rice kriskies - Motorboatrider  37.8 #4055 7:23PM
Baby Duckie season!!! Always was my favorite time to work in the park! I used to love stopping traffic to let them pass to safety! - TokyoTink  151.4 #2262 9:35PM
Reading this post about not feeding the ducks popcorn makes me wonder why the popcorn stand CM would pour a scoopful of popcorn in the grass for the ducklings that had just crossed :-/ - Goofed_out  239.7 #1113 11:13PM
I love watching the ducks! I was there with my boyfriend on a crowded day once, and one tried to cross in front of the Frontierland entrance, and nobody saw it! I tried to grab it to put it onto the other side, or at least warn people it was there.. it ran across my hands when i tried to grab it, but luckily it was near the other side already. :]  - MEHlanie_Mouse  689.8 #146 11:16PM
Aww babies!! I'm definally going to watch out for these lil guys :) - missteacup  44.3 #3864 11:24PM
They are so cute! - HarvesterProducts  167.7 #2034 11:25PM
I understand that kids are interested by the ducks there. But like i told my son the last time we were there that he can look but don't touch. I saw a mother grab one of the baby ducks and brought it over to her toddler so he can pet the duck. A cm saw it and took the baby duckie away..thank goodness. - karshla  68.7 #3426 1:53AM
