I have a question for all of you out of towners! I'll be making a trip to DL on the 19th (2 night stay) and I will have to book a hotel. I want to stay somewhere cheap... But I don't want to end up with bed bugs!!! Where do you stay and what would you suggest? I hope the responses help out other MWers like me! Thanks!

Try the Howard Johnson, it's t the official hotel of MouseWait! Plus if you mention you are a Mouse Waiter you'll get a discount!!! - WaltSentMe  330.2 #748 12:50PM
I would like to try to keep it under $100 a night... Not sure if HoJo can do that or not. I'm sure it's a lovely place! - SassyKittyMeow  448.2 #491 12:52PM
Call hojo directly and and ask about MW and AP discount, also ask about retro rate if available. - donnievegas  1132.7 #161 1:00PM
When available, the retro rate is as low as $59/night! - bluefairy  643.8 #313 1:13PM
Thanks! I'll call tomorrow! - SassyKittyMeow  448.2 #491 12:23AM
I always stay at La Quinta. Use the corporate code LOVES for a discount. Also try priceline's "name your own price" option. - Armenda  1159.7 #153 1:03PM
I highly suggest Pricelines name your own price. - mochamistie  273.2 #1137 3:16PM
Priceline is the way to go!!! When it's really busy and hard to get a good priceline deal we have stayed at Extended stay America two exits from Disneyland!!! - Rob512  756.3 #249 11:50PM
My fav place to say is the anaheim plaza..right across the street and rooms are like $60 - CM_RTPChris  23.9 #6709 1:04PM
We stayed there in December - GREAT value. Big rooms and very clean. - TonjaC  287.3 #993 3:17PM
We like to save money for the mouse! We usually stay at the Super 8 on Katella for under 50 bucks a night. It's the cleanest one we've found for that price, is about a 10 minute walk to the gate and they have a decent continental breakfast! - cynDOLEwhip  1175.5 #148 2:55PM
We jist got back and stayed at Mariot Suites Anahiem. Got room for 60.00 per night friday and saturday through Priceline. Room was 169.00 regular. - BigDave2328  3.4 #31639 3:08PM
can you give me tips on the best way to get the marriott suites off priceline? what area did you pick and star and how much? I heard someone last night got it for 46 a night in April off priceline for those of you not familiar with betterbidding dot com it is a great place to get tips on hotel bidding!!! - Happybrandison  242.5 #1451 3:20PM
I have always had success with Priceline Bid Now. - lostboy20  31.9 #5807 3:44PM
DM me your email and I'll tell you what I did!! - AshleyLynn22  791.2 #233 9:44PM
Did you get my DM back? - AshleyLynn22  791.2 #233 11:16PM
There is a Holiday Inn on Walnut (I think that was the street name....) , behind the Mickey and Friends structure, and I got it for well under $100 a night on Hotwire. It was pretty nice too. I always use those types of websites to find cheap rooms and haven't been disappointed yet. I do not recommend Days Inn on Harbor, just past Ball Rd. The shower was not hot at all.

The HoJo, call and see if they have retro rates for when you are staying. - lovesminnie  704.8 #274 12:51PM

All mw'rs stay at the hojo and we get discounts :) - PrinceTeaJack  934.6 #198 12:55PM
I absolutely love HoJo, but also understand having a budget... I recommend Hotel Menage Anaheim Boutique. According to Hotels.com it's available for $99 right now. It's walking distance, and very nice staff. Whatever you do, avoid Ramada!! - KylaShea  632.7 #319 12:57PM

I guess I'll give them a call!!! - SassyKittyMeow  448.2 #491 12:58PM
We stay at the Red Roof Inn in Buena Park. It's about 45.00 a night if you look up the promo code options before you book.... Check around. There's done good deals out there. - Donna1988  214.3 #1815 12:58PM
Call hojo directly and and ask about MW and AP discount, also ask about retro rate if available. - donnievegas  1132.7 #161 1:00PM
We just stayed at the Cortona Inn for $79. It's right on the ART route and a really nice hotel. - Mickey82  286.6 #998 1:00PM
Everyone will tell you Hojo, lol. I've never stayed there, but MWers love it. And yes, I believe you can stay for under $100 per night. You'll need to call in-house reservations and ask for the MW discount. Alternatively, my husband and I use Priceline's name-your-own-price option, and for under $75/night including parking, we have stayed at the Convention Center Hilton, both Holiday Inns, Marriott Suites (on Harbor), and Staybridge Suites--all of them were clean (obviously some had better amenities and were closer to DL than others). - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 1:03PM
We always stay at the Plaza Inn and Suites, super close, very clean rooms and we just got two nights for $160! - LisaMouse7531  410.1 #544 1:05PM
When available, the retro rate is as low as $59/night! - bluefairy  643.8 #313 1:13PM
We stay at the portofino. Book through orbits and google 10% promo codes. You can use it on any hotel they have listed...... NEVER stay at the red lion unless you want to sleep with cockroaches the size of your palm!!!! No joke! - Tinkertoes83  40.0 #5228 2:43PM
Thanks for all the info you guys! - SassyKittyMeow  448.2 #491 2:48PM
I use priceline and name my own price. I only pick 3 or 4 star hotels. Very nice places within a mile of the park. All of them offer shuttle service, sometimes free cookies or breakfast. I have never paid more than 55 a night. I have done this about 7 times in the past year, and I am always very happy! - ladylikesdisneysmom  269.6 #1170 2:56PM
Don't you end up paying a lot for parking at the more expensive hotels and the cost is not figured into the priceline bid? - Polkadobo  384.7 #583 3:18PM
Parking just depends on the hotel, and I've never been charged more than $10/night. It's still a good deal if you get a bid of, say $40/night. We recently got the Marriott Suites for 45/night with no extra fees. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 3:23PM
I went onto Priceline to try this... It wanted all my info upfront. Is this normal? - SassyKittyMeow  448.2 #491 3:25PM
Yep! They don't tell you what you get ahead of time. It made me nervous at first, too, but we've never had a bad experience. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  613.1 #331 3:46PM
We just stayed at the radisson suites in buena park for $50 a night with priceline. free parking, free breakfast and every room was a suite with a sleep number bed. it was perfect! - mochamistie  273.2 #1137 10:43PM

I love priceline. I paid 70 dollars per night for Sheraton hotel last year. For my upcoming trip, I paid 50dollars for embassy suites north. Not an ideal walking distance hotel but it comes with free parking and free breakfast. Amazeballs! - karshla  68.7 #4201 11:02PM
My boyfriend and I stayed at the America's best inn Anaheim. $56 a night. Newly renovated. Clean. About 2 miles from the park. Shuttle available. free parking. Good cable tv. I booked through hotels.com :) good luck. Have fun! - little_lilo  5.6 #16980 11:08PM
