AP question. We are considering getting AP. what kind of discounts are available for the Disney hotels? Anyone else in AZ who have purchased AP? Just wondering if it is worth it since we live several hours away.
I live in Reno (550 miles - about 9 hours) and we have APs. You should totally get one. - lovesyou21

Did you see Smartypant's post for SJ meetup?? - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1837.6 #43 9:14PM
You get an AP discount on all three hotels. The amount varies on when you go. Off-season offers the best discounts. - robin_sparkles

I just called the hotel to see about rates with our AP discount. The CM on the phone said they are 25% but I don't know if that is all the time or just right now. - jessesgirl

We live in AZ and continued to renew our APs despite of living here vs Ca.....its really worth it if you go more than once a year. - Ms.Mouseketeer

I live in AZ and my AP will expire in July. We've gone four times this year, so it has already more than paid for itself. It's definately worth it.

Hi I just recently booked with the Disney hotel with an ap discount I got 35% off for my stay in march the cm told me it can vary from 20%-40% depends on the season such as in January since it was slow they offered a 40% off your room with a 2 night stay and they apply all discounts to all hotels as well as Disney world :) - disney_luv

Depends on what AP. Also depends on the time. beginning of the year it was 35% off hotels. I think it dropped to 20% now. probably cause of the busy season. - Chumash28

I live in SJ, not as far as AZ, but not close. My friend and I got APs this year, and we've used them going on 4 times this year. Think of it this way, if you go at least twice for 3 or more days, it pays for itself nor problem! If you go anytime after that, it's worth it! - jamielynn

AP discount is usually 10% on top of whatever the general discount special is at the time. - dough

It is totally worth it!! I'm in Reno too( hi lovesyou!). Having the AP makes it more affordable to go anytime, and if you only go twice, its paid for!! We are going again in April, can't wait!!! - mom2ebug

I live in Utah and we get annual passes every other year. We try to go 3-4 times during the year and then we save for the next year and then repeat! - dsnymom2bandb

Thanks. This has really helped. I think we might do it this year. How far in advance of a trip do you need to purchase the AP?does it take awhile to get the passes. I am assuming they send a card in the mail? - Eraf61

Kind of a late response, but in case you haven't found your answer yet, you can purchase your passes online, and print them out! It takes no time at all. You get a piece of paper that will be considered your day pass into the park, and you just need to get your picture taken and you get your pass at a ticket booth by the end of the day and there you go! - jamielynn 142.6 #2452 7:38PM
