In have a question and I need an honest answer, please ;o) We're driving in from Az tomorrow, checking in to our hotel late, either myself or the hubby talked about getting in line when we arrived (for the ears) with my eldest daughter and around 5am the whichever one of us stays at the hotel would come to the park with my 4 year old. Is this shady? Basically two of us will hold a place in line for all of us... just wanted some honest feedback. For attractions, sometimes it's not a big deal, but I definitely don't want to upset people. It wouldn't bother me if someone held a place for 2 other people, but not everyone is laid back like that.... Opinions?
Word of advice, check into the hotel and get sleep. They're only giving away 2,000 pairs and people will have been lined up the night before to get them. These same ears will be sold in the park that day. I can't fathom camping out for something that you'll ultimately get to purchase for $20.00. - Candace

Didn't know they would be selling them as well, you just made my mind up for me. :) - melissa_ficent 317.8 #527 1:47AM
Glad I could help. Safe travels to you and your family! =-) - Candace 1737.8 #44 2:08AM
Well, maybe you or your husband (whoever is in line) can start some small talk with the people directly in front and behind you. That way he can nonchalantly tell them you will be joining him later. I don't think people will say anything, just be friendly and i'm sure you'll be fine! - ScubaSteve028

That's what I was thinking too anyhow, but now that I know they are selling the ears in the park that day, I'll just buy them. They were more for the kids anyway. I was planning on doing a giveaway for the other 2 if we got them. :) - melissa_ficent 317.8 #527 1:52AM
I don't think you should have problems per se, it's just that it's not just a place for admission, but rather for a limited edition item. It has even been announced on our local news the times to line up for the ears. Just be friendly and don't forget to check in for a wrist band needed to receive the ears :) - Willierose

and thats why I wanted to ask. It's not like holding a place in line for an attraction, it's for a free item... thanks! - melissa_ficent 317.8 #527 1:48AM
But don't forget if the wrist bands are taken it won't matter if you have the ok with people around you. - DisneylandDan

I think there giving out wristbands for the first 2000. So you may not be able to get the ears even if he holds your place - Mwchad

Scuba's right, just let the people around you know. There's nothing shady about that. The truly shady people will put their ears up on ebay before noon. - BlackCanary86

I'll sleep instead and have some other fun stuff to give away while were there :) They are more for the kids. - melissa_ficent 317.8 #527 1:55AM
