I heard Adam Sandler was there at the park, but I also heard he looked upset. I think its because people don't let him enjoy the day. So guys, if we ever see a celeb in the parks, let them enjoy their day like we do when we go. I know some may think wrong of this post, but I'm just trying to make a point and I'm not saying all y'all do this. Just saying that let them enjoy their day at the park because I'm sure they don't get to enjoy going to the happiest place in earth very much and us or anyone else disturbing them isn't going to make their days there happy or nice. So guys, please if you do see them, let them have fun :)
I don't feel bad for celebrities. Honestly. They went into that profession knowing what life would be like. Knowing that there will be fans everywhere they go. It was their decision. I get angry at celebs that hide and don't let people take pictures with them. They are who they are, and where they are, because of their fans. They should be grateful. And happy! - GlassSlippers

I totally agree with you GS!!!! They are who they are because of us!!! I understand that some people might ask you not to take their pic or talk to them and I can respect that. But there are those who are happy and willing to talk and take a pic with you!! For instance, I met Summer Sanders (olympic swimmer) last week and we waved to her as we were getting on Splash Mtn. When we got done and were looking at our pics, she came to look at her pic and saw us. She came up to us and hugged me and talked with us for about 10 mins. She let us take pics with her and she was awesome and so thankful for us to recognize her!! Then we were heading to IASW and ran into the JLo entourage!! Now this was completely different. Although she was waiving and saying hi to people, her body guards didn't even want anyone looking at her!!! Now, if you are going to have 4 body guards, 2 plaids and about 8 people in your group, you are going to be noticed!! When we got to IASW and she got into her boat, she waived to everyone as she was entering the ride. That is when the bodyguard was not happy with me taking her pic. I realized that she needed her private time, so that was it for me. Though I ran into her in the restroom and she Thanked for me wishing her daughter a Happy Bday, I wasn't going to stalk her through out the park!! She was really nice to anyone that approached her, but she did want to have her time with her family. Now Adam Sandler could have been in a bad mood for any number of reasons like any other person. If someone was harassing him, then shame on them. I feel that if a celeb or anyone in fact individually asks you not to take their pic, then we should respect their privacy. But I don't think that we need to just act as if they are not there and run the other direction. It's no different then me going up to a complete stranger that I have never met and asking them if they are a MWer and if they are talking with them and wanting to take a pic with them. If the MWer says no, then that's the end of it, just like a Celeb. Well, I would stalk the MWer!!!! LOL!!! - caramiapoohAKAface 1441.0 #54 11:10PM
I do understand your point but you gotta also remember that as an American citizen, they have the right to privacy, which was being violated. - Ain1derland 325.5 #499 7:04AM
I agree 100% with glassslippers. They knew what they were getting into and that privacy was pretty much out the door when in public. - Jo_ohanna 383.7 #349 7:15AM
Geez cara, don't you know my remove post feature is broken? You're making my scrolling finger sore!! :P - Mimmy 1405.6 #57 8:23AM
When they enter Disneyland (a public place where everyone has a camera) they kind of give up their right to privacy.. - JessicaRabbit33 667.9 #156 8:55AM
I have to agree, for the most part. I don't believe in stalking them and trying to force 20 minute conversations with a star (I've seen this attempted and it's just awkward), but as far as looking and taking their picture, what do they expect? Just like Glass slippers said--we made them famous. If we didn't like them, they wouldn't be here. - KylaShea 533.2 #214 9:33AM
This post doesn't apply to me. If you see me feel free to get a pic or an autograph😜 - Mouse4life

i'm all for approaching a celebrity, but not when they are with their children especially when their kids are young..it would kind of ruin the magic of making their own memories with their children. - HollyGolightlyPrincess

Adam Sandler was upset because he just set a new record for 11 Razzie® Award nominations for his film work last year. He probably could have used some cheering up from some fans. - PrinceCorey

You just gotta treat them like people, and not like someone who owes you something. Be respectful, and if they're willing to take a picture, sign an autograph, or chat with you, then that's cool, if not - respect that too. - LaTruce

I've seen celebs and I've never approached them... mostly because I get too nervous around them if I actually know them and care somewhat for them hahaha - Jaytasmic

I actually saw a celeb today(spencer grammar from Greek) and she was actually really excited that I knew who she was and was very touched that I cared enough to say something! So I think it may just depend on the celebrity! But I totally agree and don't take it to far like a stalkeratzie!! - CourtyAstroBlisters

I think Adam Sandler is on quite a different level than a girl from Greek. (No offense, but I don't think moat would consider her a "real" celeb.) - Fruitbythefoot 33.3 #4233 7:45PM
Exactly. "Greek?" Is that a show? I'm so out of touch these days. - Polkadobo 372.1 #370 9:36PM
She must have been there with her dad Kelsey Grammer. Someone posted a picture of him at the park today. - ima-pirateswife 432.3 #289 9:37PM
i feel bad when celebs get bombarded at the parks by ordinary people. sometimes i forget that people are almost as bad as the paparazzi when we see celebs out in public. - rbeezy
653.6 #160 9:51PM
well, if ordinary people didn't care about celebrities, the paparazzi would be out of their jobs... still, people deserve their space. If I ever saw one of my idols at Disneyland, it would be hard for me to try to stay away, but I have to remember, they deserve to have a magical day with their families, too. Disneyland is for EVERYONE, regardless of their status. - brit-brit 298.3 #616 10:04PM
Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the paparazzi were out of their jobs, lol - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.0 #285 8:13AM
I agree, I think people should leave them alone. I think the statement that they knew what they were getting into when they got into acting, is crazy. Acting a job and I really think people should respect their personal space and personal time. Their families deserve to be able to go out without them harassment of every person who thinks that they have a right to take pictures of them just because they are famous. - tink08 151.2 #2267 8:22AM
I've worked with many celebrity . Including Adam Sandler during comic con. I don't see him getting mad at his fan. He one of the coolest people you will ever meet. He always taking photos with fans and understand what comes with being a celebrity. You can't say this for all celebrity. Some get to head strung. Yes they need break. But if they don't want to be bother they will bring there own security or have someone with them. I've seen many different ways celebrity getting around with out the public knowing who they are. - Disneybaldie

Meh. If I saw him I'd say hi and wave. - AshleyLynn22
747.6 #136 11:30PM
This is what I do.. And if they are open to be approached, then I do (Kris Allen)... Some wave back and smile but give a vibe that they don't want to be approached (Tony Hawk)... And some just want to go to Disneyland to escape - LaTruce 1624.0 #45 9:07AM
Some are more famous than others and don't mind meeting with fans. In most cases they are aware they will be in a public place and they may have to pose here and there with fans.. I always ask if it's ok I never assume they have to take a picture with or say hi .. You should ask for permission nicely to take a picture with them and excpect a no and not be offended. - drmnofdsl18

There's a big difference between introducing yourself and asking for a picture or an autograph and following someone around, taking pics of them with their kids from afar and posting them online. I'm sure all big A-list celebs know that there's the potential to be mobbed at DL--some of them want the attention. If that is a concern, then there are ways to around it (go indiscreetly during the week, for instance). However, just because they know that it's a part of their life, doesn't mean that everyone should follow them and take pictures. - Spoonful_O_Sugar
436.0 #285 8:21AM
Maybe they should have a celebs day at DL they close the parks for corprit events they can close one day for celebs and fam and if they want to go after thats on them, I understand schedules can can be hard but if they know ahead maybe they can plan? Just a thought lol - lisaw

I see the point but then I disagree I ran into mike tyson at th air port and he was very cool walked up asked for a pic and talked for a few. He understands his fans make him and adam needs to kno the same ikno maybe at a place like disney land tons of ppl around but That's a fames persons life - theHatBoxGhost

I see your point and I think most MW's are respectful. Mr. Sandler is a celebrity and I'm sure he expects that these things go on when he's out and about. The only issue I had with the photo posting is that people were taking pics of his minor children and posting them. That I did not think was OK and definitely bothered me. - MoonWillow

If Sandra Bullock can slip out of the spotlight in the midst of a very public cheating scandal/divorce and keep her newly adopted baby out of the news for several months, then there are certainly ways to go to DL without being accosted by crazy fans. If it is a major concern, then the A list celebs pay to have extremely tight security wherever they go. - Spoonful_O_Sugar
