A question for Broadway nerds like myself. What's your favorite Broadway version of a Disney film? I love The Lion King but Mary Poppins is spectacular as well! Has anyone else had the chance to see any?

The lion king is stopping by my town this year and was thinking about catching it any endorsements - VADERonSOARIN  543.0 #413 3:54PM
Go for it! You won't be disappointed. - lostgirl7988  697.8 #306 3:59PM

I LOVED the opening of lion king and all the puppetry but was kind of bored by the script. I saw Rent the following night and fell in love  - Polkadobo  384.7 #624 4:19PM
Ooohh rent. I've been lucky to see it three times. I know every word! - madsdad  1868.2 #99 4:27PM
I've seen it twice and know all the words too! It's tied with Into the Woods for my favorite musical. - Polkadobo  384.7 #624 4:29PM
Ever hear Passion from Soundheim? Amazing musical. - madsdad  1868.2 #99 4:32PM
I'm with you Polkadobo. The thing is, the costimes were beautiful, the sets were fantastic, the singing, phenominal, the chreography fantastic, the acting decent. But the script was just boring. The movie didn't translate to stage well. I was in Vegas with a group of agents and we got it comp'ed so I stayed out of respect. We had ppl that left saying they were bored and I couldn't say I felt diffeerently. Oddly enough though, I'm dying to see Mary Poppins. - Poisen_Ivy  318.2 #868 4:35PM
Right on the money poesinivy! - Polkadobo  384.7 #624 5:03PM
The script did get a little muddled down in places, however "Shadowlands" was one of the best songs I've ever heard. - lostgirl7988  697.8 #306 10:07PM
Beauty and the Beast was great! Lion King was better and I am DYING to see Mary Poppins!! - AKMouse  491.9 #465 3:37PM
Mary Poppins is amazing, Lion King was spectacular but for me Beauty and the Beast was the start of everything and in no can be explained. I saw it 4 times in one season. - aprilinjune4  483.5 #471 3:43PM
I've never been able to see beauty and the beast! I walked past the marquee in NYC but we didn't end up going. - lostgirl7988  697.8 #306 3:46PM
I really enjoyed Beauty and the Beast, but Lion King was the BEST hands down! I saw them both in NYC, but I'm sad I missed Lion King in Las Vegas. - PirateQueenBriezy  330.9 #794 3:50PM
My dad got me tickets to see lion king in Vegas last February with my sister and it was phenomenal! - lostgirl7988  697.8 #306 3:52PM
Both Mary Poppins and the Lion King are wonderful. The Lion King's opening entrance/scene just grabs my heart. The music playing and the animals walking to the stage is just breath taking. - PrincessLeia  312.8 #896 3:52PM

I have seen Lion King and Mary Poppins...but I have to say J.M.Barrie's Peter Pan made me cry. I saw it for Christmas last year at the 360 production in Costa Mesa and it was so breathtaking - MayBie  1885.6 #98 3:53PM
Not to rag on Disney cuz I would never but I adore Peter Pan. The story J.M. Barrie told is amazing and if I had to pick his version wins every time. Sorry Walt! - lostgirl7988  697.8 #306 4:03PM

I have been lucky enough to have seen Tarzan, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King and Mary Poppins. This summer I've already got tickets to Aladdin! I'm super stoked about Aladdin but I have to say my favorite so far is Little Mermaid with Tarzan a close second. I love the extra songs in both of these Broadway plays and the extra scenes! - dhBelle04  289.0 #1049 4:02PM
I liked little mermaid I just wasn't super into her wearing heelys to make it seems like she was swimming lol - lostgirl7988  697.8 #306 4:05PM
I was curious to see how they handled that part, but I was impressed at their creativity. But that was just me. I thought it was cool to have Ursula in a jazzy wheelchair too. :) - dhBelle04  289.0 #1049 4:11PM

14 more days and I shall be entering in wait times for the first time( I was slow and shy to post). Well actually it will be 15 days. The first  day we check in and go to Trader Sam's. 😉 - varela2892  78.3 #4124 7:14AM
I just want to thank all the newbies who are on the list so much lately! This was started as a wait time and more app so by your starting out from the beginning doing wait times is awesome! 2/3of my points are from wait times. I make a game of it and have fun doing them. Hope everyone tries it, it helps others and you earn credits!!👏👏👏 - secretagentangel  8121.5 #11 9:06PM
Half of my points are from wait times.  - Goofytom  2965.4 #50 10:28PM
I figure it is the least my wife and i can do, plus it is great exercise! I keep saying, one of these days we will go to one of the meet-ups. We generally only go on Saturday and sometimes Sunday as well. That darn thing called 'work' just gets in the way!  - oiler2112  892.7 #220 7:07AM
Pretty much all my points are from wait times  - kimo  271.1 #1221 6:54PM

Disneyland unFORECAST (BETA) is here! Top MouseWaiters giving you the rundown of what's happening at the Disneyland Resort. The unFORECAST now has its own page on the web www.unFORECAST.com

Unforecast for week of August 29, 2016. OK , I'll add some more for this week while admin is busy.   starting with Monday August  29th we are getting ready to say goodbye to Paint The Night . This will be the last week for it to be run  two times a night until it goes on hiatus for a while until the holidays. So expect crowds, especially at night, to be a little bigger. Last week the major crowds came in on Friday about 7 PM and the park really filled up. Expect that again this weekend especially because it's Labor Day weekend.  it's also  race weekend which means races on Friday , Saturday , and Sunday so there will be road closures during the early morning until about noon along Disney way. And downtown Disney parking will be very crowded since half the parking lot is taken up by event booths. Include with that it being Labor Day and Monday being the last night to see Paint The Night for a while,  the the park will probably be very crowded. So bring your patience and bring some extra water. And have fun!  - secretagentangel Aug 29, 2016 11:51PM

We have always noticed that Saturdays are better than Sundays! We always come on the weekend and say we want to leave at dinner time on Sunday, but always leave by 11-12 because there are so many people. We love Saturday!! - 1Princess3Princes  643.7 #337 5:39PM
I agree. I think it has to do with most passes being blocked - PoohSizedGuy  20.6 #7593 11:53PM
Saturday's rule! One of the perks of a premium pass!  - snappy  451.5 #523 7:32AM
I love these posts!  I do have a question/request/suggestion...is there a way to only show the 3-4 most recent posts?  It's a lot to scroll through. @@Admin - TiggersAndTinks  183.7 #2290 5:08AM
I second this. The info is great to have, but it's too long.  - 1HitchhikingGhost  293.0 #1026 5:04PM
There was nobody there last week on Saturday loved it Hope it's the same this week  - jkobelski  34.1 #0 9:48PM
August 17 - It was still crowded yesterday, though it starts emptying out about 9 pm since some schools are in session and others are watching PTN. These are your last week's to watch PTN and the current WOC, and the 60th fireworks nightly show. Take advantage on a weeknight if you can. And on week nights, the jazz band plays several sets up until 10:15 pm on the Matk Twain and alternate with sets while cruising the ROA on a tom sawyers raft. We saw the band on the river at 10:40 Tuesday night. Market house is closed at night for coffee, the closest coffee after park hours is Starbucks DD/ WOD. or coffee bean in Haggen Dazs DD   ice cream  store till midnight.  - secretagentangel  8121.5 #11 1:41PM

I don't understand why it was changed in the first place. The area was closed down and rebranded as Grizzly Peak Airfield to be more cohesive with the "California" theme of the park and then they change the ride from Soarin Over California; which is sticking pretty close to the theme of the park; to Soarin Over The World? It just doesn't make sense to me. I understand updating the video itself, which is what I wish they had done.  - 1HitchhikingGhost  293.0 #1026 7:03PM
