I would actually love some opinions from MWers on the blue bayou. Very honest ones. Because I've heard that it's super expensive and not worth the cost. Others say it's only worth it during off season because otherwise they pack ppl in and it's super uncomfortable. Others love it. Some say it's only worth it if you're by the water. I've heard that the service is fantastic but the food not so much. I have never eaten there and always wanted to. I'm taking my husband and it's his first time so I figured when better to go right? Plus, my dad proposed to my mom there so I've always wanted to go with my husband. I just don't want to go and be super disappointed. - Poisen_Ivy

Personally, I've eaten there twice and I've loved it both times! Great food, great service, and an amazing atmospher wherever you sit! Prices are a little up there, but still worth it. Hope this helps! - dlmickeymouseCM 2350.4 #28 9:59PM
I didn't think the cost was worth the food - HanLostLeia 1092.6 #76 10:01PM
It is expensive, especially dinner. However, I felt the food was worth the price. I sat nowhere near the water, and I was fine with that. The service was great. The chef came out to a table behind us to help them decide what to order (they had several diet restrictions). I recommend trying it at least once. - robin_sparkles 293.8 #647 10:05PM
We have made reservations two or three times, and each time we've been seated by the doorway and told that a better table wasn't available. We wanted to go for the atmosphere, not the food, but we couldn't even see the water from where we were seated. So, both times, we got up and walked over to Cafe Orleans for the same Monte Cristo which is about $10 cleaner than Blue Bayou. Probably won't try again unless we're in a bigger group and someone really wants to go. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.3 #285 10:09PM
I've had dinner there twice before. I thought the food was wonderful both times. I think it's worth it for the money.
They're willing to accommodate if you want to sit by the water, but you have to be willing to wait if you want to sit there. We waited about 45 minutes the last time, wasn't too bad.
Both times our waiter was AWESOME. Very helpful and always on top of things. They really try to make sure your experience is the best.
I wouldn't try to do a walk-in dinner, so make reservations.
You should try it at least once. (: - ericalynn 210.0 #1495 10:11PM
We love it. We've been about 5 times and always had a great experience. A little spendy, but you are also paying for the atmosphere in my opinion. I make our reservations ahead of time and when we check-in, we request a table by the water. They always let us know that the wait will be longer and for us, that's ok. With that said, we've never had to wait longer that 30 minutes even when they quoted us longer. Even the 3rd week of December. Maybe we've been lucky. It's always a highlight of our trip. - Fanatic4Disney 258.0 #926 10:17PM

yeah just try it for yourself and see. I went for the first time last month. It's neat and the food is good but it's expensive. Definitely try it! - PinkElephants 636.8 #170 10:14PM
