My nephew caught hand foot and mouth while at DL earlier this week. Remember while at the Happiest Place on Earth, use good hygiene practices and wash those hands!!!
You guy's are freaking me out! I was on a plane and in DL last week....im pouring peroxide all over myself now. - donnievegas

Donnie...peroxide does not kill viruses. Take a nice shower and scrub with soap. Kids are not hygienically aware so they put more things in their mouths, touch everything, rub their nose and eyes etc. it's more prevalent in young kids under 10. I did have 13 year get it from his 5 year old neighbor. - Plumiegirl 3322.9 #10 6:20PM
Ok Plumie I trust you and don't worry I shower daily. lol - donnievegas 1127.5 #72 6:25PM
Lol, just don't lick the rails and you'll be ok. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.2 #285 6:27PM
Exactly and don't touch your face until you wash your hands. - Plumiegirl 3322.9 #10 6:29PM
Just febreeze yourself =p - KylaShea 533.2 #214 6:31PM
Honestly, I get a bit freaked about germs, but my hubby used to be an EMT and he always calms me down and explains everything Plumie just said, lol. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.2 #285 6:33PM
A little Windex does wonders! - AKMouse 376.5 #364 6:49PM

They drove from NV but planes are nasty. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 4:23PM
Yes! One of the worst times DG19 and I were sick together was immediately after a flight home. I didn't know till then that you can get strep in places other than your throat. - PrincessDuckie 587.8 #187 4:27PM
My husband and I, on the other hand, are waiting to board our long flight back to Alaska now. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 4:42PM
@AKM, a healthy and safe flight to you! - PrincessDuckie 587.8 #187 4:44PM
Well in that case NV is kinda full of nastiness too! Lol. I consider NV to be home so I can say that! Hope you have a safe journey home! - Deltachiq 969.0 #90 6:56PM

That is a virus transmitted via saliva. I had 3 cases recently in my local district. The kids lived next door to each other. It is usually direct contact but saliva on a railing is possible. - Plumiegirl

Who knows! With kids his age it is hard telling. He could have picked up someone else's water bottle while no one was looking. He is recovering nicely at home now. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 6:08PM
Aw :( poor guy. I hope he has a speedy recovery. We'll be washing lots this week, my pregnant body doesn't need any more issues. - cynDOLEwhip

I make everyone wash thier hands before they eat anything at the park. A quick churro can turn into crumb licking grossness ingesting every germ off every railing, chain and bar they've touched...ick and then they hold my hand. So gross. Bah. - supertracy
