I can agree. But when youre new here its hard to get to know people right off the bat. When I first joined I would have loved to have a Big Brother or Big Sister type to chat with and teach me the ropes. So in theory, yea you want to get to know someone but at least for me, that hasnt been easy. So if I can friend someone to make them feel welcome, I say why not. No disrespect to anyone. I joined just this last Nov and I've made a ton of friends!! It's all up to how you put yourself out there. Believe it or not, I really shy when I don't know anyone. I'm one of those ppl that will normally be in a crowd and not say anything unless I'm approached. I decided that I needed to make the first step to meet ppl. I went to my first MW meet up at the MWGive and did not know anyone!!! But I just talked to everyone and made some friends that day. Don't be shy or you won't meet anyone. Just go for it!!! Here's the thing. You have to put yourself out there. Don't be shy to say Hi to us in person. I sat next to SueBayou for the first time waiting for an astro meetup and talked her ear off for two hours. 😂 Now she can't get rid of me lol. Boo just screamed my name across main street and now that girl i consider one of my closet friends (you too sue 😜). You can't be a wallflower and expect to make a ton of friends on MW and in "real life". This application has seriously changed my life out here in CA when before I was so lonely without knowing anyone.
