Hey MW friends, i'm looking for some Disney dining advice! It's my girlfriends birthday on Sunday and I'd like to take her somewhere special at the parks (not pizza port). I'd like to do Blue Bayou because she's never been there, but let's just say it's "tainted" from past "villains". So what would you personally recommend? I myself am a very simple eater so places like Golden Horseshoe do me justice. But it's not MY birthday so feel free to fancy it up a bit. Thanks in advance!!! :)

One word Napa Rose - Mouse4life  1065.8 #80 7:11PM
Haha, so good two words count as one!? - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:20PM
Is it safe to say that napa rose is equivalent to blue bayou? Both price, atnosphere and quality?? - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:28PM
Price wise, Napa rose can absolutely blow blue bayou out of the water. Atmosphere, blue bayou is Disney to the tenth degree while Napa rose is just a fancy restaurant (unless you sit at the chefs counter). As far as quality, its not even close. Napa Rose absolutely blows blur bayou away. - Slotherini  886.9 #99 7:35PM

Thanks for the info. I feel safer with blue bayou cause I know what to expect, butbi might just give napa a try. - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:45PM
Napa Rose=two words lol - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 7:59PM

Take her to the Plaza inn. Best chicken dinner ever! - theRealDisneygirlforevr  175.3 #1923 7:01PM
I agree! We've had it so many times before though we might wanna try something different. But that's definitely a safe bet :) - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:46PM
Yeah go for the fried chicken dinner! - MetalheadNelson  19.3 #5125 8:10PM
Cafe Orleans is my personal favorite. Lots of great choices, sit-down service. There's nicer places in DC...wine Country Trattoria for example. All depends on how much you want to spend! - Gia  785.5 #121 7:11PM
I was considering wine country because neither of us have been. How's the food? - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:48PM
Cafe Orleans. Or Ariels Grotto for the World of color dinner - tigntink  179.3 #1875 7:39PM
Great idea! Didn't know they had a woc dinner there! - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:49PM
I second this!! Great atmosphere!! :) 👍 - SarahJoshDisney  69.5 #3412 8:13PM
If you're looking for atmosphere, Napa Rose then Blue Bayou, similar in price. Cafe Orleans is very good. Steak House 55 is good also. Plaza in is good but cafeteria style and very loud and crowded. Storytellers is awesome. And the Wine Country Trattoria in DCA. Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta hands down over Pizza port.  - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 7:59PM
Great info. Helped me narrow it down - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 8:07PM
Go to Steahouse 55 and get a big, fat ribeye! - Kari_Bo_Berry  361.5 #387 7:10PM
Storyteller's! Erase your past and write some new memories there! - MayBie  1864.2 #40 7:14PM
Oooo I like that. Nice selling phrase! - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:22PM
I say Cafe Orleans, across from Blue Bayou. Not super expensive but not cheesy. Food and atmosphere is great. But if you are willing to pay the more like Blue Bayou, then go to Napa Rose at the Grand Californian! Pretty awesome. - CadaverousPallor  263.5 #884 7:14PM
Surf and turf at the blue bayou! Incredible food and atmosphere! - hairdog67  241.5 #1097 7:30PM
I would go to cafe Orleans similar to blue bayou without all the bad memories! - akpoppins  243.3 #1070 7:51PM
I agree with MayBie, Storytellers isn't bad and it's cheaper than Napa Rose. It doesn't wow with atmosphere but the Farmers Market salad and Corn Chowder are yummy! - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #108 7:53PM
My bf took to me to Ariel's Grotto and I loved it. Food was great and I loved that I got to meet all the Princesses, so if she likes that sort of thing then Ariel's Grotto is the place to go 😊 - Andrie  158.5 #2167 8:00PM
Cafe Orleans, Plaza Inn, Napa Rose, Steakhouse 55 - dlmickeymouseCM  2350.4 #27 7:24PM
Does she like meeting the characters? getting pictures or autographs from them? cause if so i would say goofys kitchen, sure it may seem a little childish but thats what makes it fun, they will also bring her a birthday cupcake and sing, they have adult type foods their too so dont worry aha. - DevonInWonderland  6.7 #8430 7:25PM
I thought it might be too child based but I may actually look into. It seems like fun! How's the pricing compared to say blue bayou? - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 7:58PM
I would say Napa Rose. I, personally, have never been there but plan to. Heard it's amazing. Steakhouse 55 is really good. Intimate atmosphere. I got steak, not as good as Blue Bayou, IMO, but still really good. - melissa_ficent  317.9 #531 7:56PM
Jazz Kitchen! 💗💗But honestly...don't let someone else ruin the Blue Bayou for you. Go if that's what you really want to do - KissDclown  1088.1 #77 8:11PM
I think I just might! Thanks for the info :) - ScubaSteve028  812.4 #114 8:58PM
Ariels grotto is pricey but really good! Great atmosphere and the WOC tickets you can get are amazing! - AnthonyTPM  5.0 #10553 9:06PM
Blue Bayou 100%. Where can u get that kind of dining experience anywhere else in the World?? - Sharkbay8  38.0 #4060 9:42PM
